Got there just in time for happy hour. There are definitely some good deals then, but the food was just so so. The dumplings were over cooked and the sushi was a bit dry and seemed to have questionable temperatures. Too bad it wasn't better because the menu has some pretty erotic / funny names that want you coming back... More

Waited 40 minutes for our below average sushi. Poor waiter frustrated as well. He did a great job. Save yourself time and trouble just go to the Whole Foods a few blocks away and get better cheaper sushi.

We are sushi lovers and try many places. Had an opportunity to come in for lunch while shopping in Cherry Creek. Thought the service was very attentive and sushi met our expectations. Left the restaurant with positive feelings to tell our friends. Will be coming back soon.

A prices were reasonable and the service was good but the food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing special about this place honestly.

Our server was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, checked on us often but wasn't annoying. Drinks were good, we each got one beer (boring I know.) The sushi--we ordered five specialty rolls--was just ok. Generally my husband and I (we were with another couple) rarely find something to complain about but these rolls just weren't amazing. The fish was good--I think... More

I love this place. I've been here something like 20 times by now over the last 5 1/2 years. I've come here with my mother, aunts, friends, significant others and alone. I love the happy hours- the 2 for $7 rolls, the hapa beer, the pork gyoza, magic mushrooms, miso soup, the mussels, all of it is delicious. Writing this... More

We had friends take us here telling us how great the sushi was. Hapa had a nice atmosphere and good service. The sushi was good but we've had a lot better. It's not a place we would go out of the way to eat at again.

This place has a good happy hour..the sushi is good ..they also Need to practice their rolling skills..We ordered two rows in soy paper and two others normal and every time I picked up my sushi it fell apart..great little location and the atmosphere was very laid back.

Description
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.
