Hillstone's food quality is very good. Salmon and beef dishes were actually very tasty. Service was excellent. Was frustrated by old menu items vanishing, like the chicken tenders and house wine. Our server said there were a number of menu items pulled that people keep...asking for, but management in corporate, don't seem to listen.More

Usually this restaurant is pretty good with consistent quality food,..last weekend we went to Hillstone for dinner and was very disappointed. Our pork ribs were overcooked and dry and had to return the plate , salads were a lot smaller than usual and service not...up to their usual standards. Our bill was $ 220 and not really worth that..More

My husband and I went for dinner about 5:30 on a week night, and the restaurant and bar were already packed! Fortunately, we had reservations, and were seated as soon as we arrived. We started with a couple of those amazing foamy margaritas and grilled...artichokes. They get their artichokes from California, and only have them on the menu while they are in season. Grilled with just butter, they are "simply the best!" (Credit to Tina Turner) My husband had his favorite: Hawaiian rib eye, perfectly cooked and served hot. Crab cakes were not on the menu, so I had the Thai chicken salad made with rotisserie chicken. We both had a glass of wine with dinner: Kith & Kin for my husband (excellent) and Miner Family Chardonnay for me. I'm not a fan of oaky chardonnay, but our waiter, Dan, suggested this wine. It was not oaky, but very different, and I enjoyed it. Service, led by Dan, was also excellent. We will definitely go back soon!More

Never again. Had reservations for 4 on Tuesday nite 03/23/21 We arrived with our wives and was told they are a little behind to have a drink. Fortunately it was nice out and headed to patio. 3 girls came in 25 min behind us. They...sat at patio next to us for 2 min and were seated immediately . Clearly they new the staff Kristen / They were immediately seated inside. We waited another 15 min and complained. Only to find out it was going to be another 30 /45 min. I blew up and was closing the bar tab and we were leaving and they magically found a table. We were regulars there and drop a lot of money and always tip well for for Good service. My friend said something to the young restaurant manager and he was argumentative and blew us off. Once seated they were out of the Artichoke and the Pinot Grigio. We had additional problems with our food but it was so late and we were so hungry we shut up and ate it as Is. Clearly after being closed for Covid they FOR GOT ABOUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only 2 people that really did well was Madeline our waitress and Katie the hostess. The manager is clearly over is head and should be removed. He will drive that place further into the ground. The kicker to this. My friend and I both entertain very large groups regularly. We both agreed they lost our business forever. $500 spent last night. Never again.More

A severe snowstorm pushed back our plans for going to keystone so we stayed in Denver because i70 was closed. We had no idea what to get for dinner so we went across the street from where we were staying. We ended up at this...beautiful restaurant. We went inside and they were very nice and seated us quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and started us off with drinks we also asked for a serving of bread for an appetizer. One we were done with that we ordered, my whole family of four, shared 2 plates of sushi, a cheese burger and a French dip burger. Our waitress was readily available. Whenever you are in Denver I definitely recommend this place. I will go back.More

The food was amazing ! Mark the chef was such a nice person! But the hostess named Taylor (I don't know the last name because she did not want to tell me) was such a mean person she did not want to give us a...table because of the appearance, because I called before and she told me to come, and then dominique appeared and he told us that he was the manager (when he was not) and the both of them did not want to let us in, it's so sad that because of two people such a nice restaurant and such a great food gets a bad reputation because on dominique and Taylor. They should not have people like thisMore

The most racist restaurant I’ve ever been to. The manager Dominic and the host Taylor were really rude and unwelcoming even though I called befare and they told me they were able to receive me and my husband. I’m really dissapointed about this place. I...don’t recomend it. The chef Mark was very nice and accomodated us because he was sorry for the way his co-workers treated us. It’s a shame that a nice restaurant with such a nice food has this type of behavior. I hope that the owner takes matters into their own hands because this makes a really bad reputation to their restaurant. Thanks Mark for your great service and it’s too bad you have to work with people that treat other people like that.More

We used to love this place to eat in. During Covid we hoped to support them with take-out and the 2 times we have used them has been a disaster. The order has never been correct with many missing items. They mark everything up if...you take out and they add a 10% packing charge. There is no wait staff or table overhead and there is no way to avoid the packing charge. In addition, they did not pack the items correctly so we missed out on items we had ordered. The ordering system is a disaster. It adds in the sides however those sides do not show up with the item. So we assumed it missed the sides and we added them again When we completed and paid for our order we noticed that it had added the sides back into the order so now we had double sides. When we called to correct the order the person on the phone was extremely rude and told us we had to do everything online and she could not help us despite the fact we had already used the online system. On top of all that the food was stone cold when we received it. We used to love this place however based on these 2 experiences we don't intend to support the take-out business over the winter when they will need it the most. We also are questioning the need to ever dine in person as well based on this experience. $145.00 for 4 sandwiches and some sides for take-out is a rip off.More

I have been a loyal patron for 20 years and as much as I love your food and service it's clear to me that your managers miss the most important point...adapting to taking care of the customer versus a self created rule. As a CEO...of a large publicly traded Lodging Company, our people needed to be empowered to always make the decision on behalf of the guest.TodayI had a reservation for two that needed to be four people and like usual I called to amend it and was told my only option was to be placed on a waiting list. When I spoke to the manager she blamed it on Covid and the CDC when in reality it was a strategy by you to take in more tables. Bye Hillstone your people are not empowered!More

My daughter and I were in Denver for a quick mother/daughter trip and stayed at the Halcyon Hotel around the corner from Hillstone restaurant. We walked here for dinner and loved every aspect of it—our waitress, Elise, was wonderfully attentive and professional, the ambience was...luxurious, but comfortable, and the food was excellent. I had the Scottish Salmon and my daughter had a sushi roll. The experience was so great that we came back the next day for lunch! We now consider this our favorite Denver restaurant.More
