Found this when looking for a breakfast spot in downtown Denver. Parking is sparse, but still worth it. Everything is delicious.. Even the hash browns.. Hand grated and herbs... The omelets, cooked perfectly with the ingredients cooked into the eggs, the pancakes... Fluffy not dense. I'm pretty sure the guy who took our order owns the place, but he was... More
We often order take-out from Spices, but it is an absolute favorite for Sunday brunch. The food is just great. Eggs Benedict with perfect hollandaise, pancakes to die for, BLT's that are perfectly done. A meatloaf sandwich that is spectacular. It is just one of our favorites. If you are looking for a perfect brunch Spices is the place.
This tiny restaurant could easily be overlooked but that would be a shame. A wonderful very affordable menu awaits those who venture here. We split a breakfast burrito with chorizo and smothered in chili verde sauce and it was excellent. The coffee with the best I've found so far in Denver, and that's saying something as it seems there is... More
I saw how great all of the reviews were so I thought I must try this local neighborhood gem. I was so happy with my experience here. The restaurant is right behind streets of London off of colfax. It's small and quaint. We walked in, were greeted and told you order first then find your seat. We ordered then sat... More
I discovered this cute little cafe when looking for a restaurant that served breakfast and was within walking distance of our hotel (Ramada Inn Downtown on Colfax). It was less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel and was not busy when we got there, but we noted that they seem to do a steady carryout business, even for... More
Looking for a great breakfast or lunch. Spices is a little kitchen tucked in behind a local pub. Their sandwiches and breakfast dishes are done to perfection. Open through 3 PM or so each day, this is a great place for breakfast or lunch. We often run over and carry out their great sandwiches.
After eating an absolutely great breakfast, I learned from the owner/chef that his place had been open for 7 years. Although I don't live in Denver, I'm there at least once a month and frequently go out to breakfast. I now have a new favorite. I enjoyed pumpkin pancakes with Nutella whipped cream and fresh berries, while my wife had... More
