Had a great time here. This was our second time to see Acoustic Alchemy play at the SD. We were at a corner table, & there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Waitstaff came through regularly & drinks were good. Will definitely return for...more good music!More
A large group of us gathered here in September for a celebration. One thing that sticks in my mind was his attentive the servers were. Very polite and super cordial. The drinks were good and the buffet they served was also good.
I've attended a couple of shows a year for the last six years or so at Soiled Dove Underground, and it is an excellent music venue. And I had never had an issue with management until they decided to ignore my complaint about being double-charged...for two drinks on August 4. Three phone calls and a letter were apparently ignored as I have not heard back from them. My advice - don't hand them a credit card for the tab if you intend to pay cash. I got charged twice, will you? Four stars for the music, deduct two stars for poor customer service after the concert.More
So we had dinner before Najee. The concert was great. Our dinner ended up with my two little boys in the bathroom for 3 songs in the concert with diarrhea , THEN only the way home they continued to be sick. IT WAS IMMEDIATELY after...eating french fries with their meals, that was the ONLY thing they ate the same all day. The stomach pains and sickness continued through the next day, they didn't even want to eat anything.More
Soiled Dove Underground in Denver is an excellent place to see a show, small and intimate. They book both well- and lesser-known artists, good for them. Some serious issues for me though, with mixed drinks and customer service. I have dietary restrictions. Spirits, even though...they are supposedly ‘gluten-free’ by parts-per-million, can provoke a gluten reaction because it’s the same number of gluten particles, they’re just smaller after distillation. About a year ago, I chose to order my cocktail at the bar. I got the drink I wanted, but the bartender was very rude and abrasive about my being so specific. I passed on some shows over the course of a year, and visited again in 2019. Same drink ordered through the waitperson was very strong, double-strength (one shot of each ingredient, $8.50 per shot), AND they included the grain-alcohol ingredient I was trying to substitute for. I’m designated driver, so I had too much booze, and a gluten reaction that made me fuzzy on top of it for the 50-mile drive home. I'll be back and steeled to be VERY SPECIFIC (again) with the bartender to get the drink I want. But it might not be soon. BTW, other reviewers have complained about them not serving free water, and the price for bottled water and soft drinks is now $3.75. It’s such a great venue for the music, that it only gets one star off for such bad customer service.More
Visited for the first time to see an old favorite band POCO.. It's a great venue with intimate setting. Every seat in the house is a good seat. Typical bar food and drinks were good. Even got to visit with the band after the show!...Really enjoyed the experience!More
