I'd been wanting to visit this place for years, and finally suggested it to a friend, so we met here for dinner. It's a small place with a great, friendly, relaxed vibe. They will cook or modify anything on the menu to order to suit your dietary needs. The prices are higher than I was expecting, but the food and... More

Food has become so regurgitated throughout the restaurant industry and to have been served food this good I would have paid much more. So many new flavors based on existing dishes.. I believe they source mostly local, service is excellent, and they serve many gluten and meat free dishes. I've eaten there twice, and unfortunately, I compare all restaurant food... More

If you like truly fresh vegetables prepared in unusually tasty ways, then Root Down is for you. Try their Sunday brunch - it is scrumptious.

Everything about this place is cool: the building in the old filling station, the menu, the cool drinks. My favorites at Root Down are happy hour or brunch. Check out the bottomless mimosa brunch, the seasonal menu and the happy hour duck tacos.

Interesting menu and I love that it's local. It is a bit expensive, but I think it's great for a special occasion. Nice atmosphere and free valet too!

I have to call the food at Root Down brilliant because there is no other word to describe it. The chef or chefs who create the amazing dishes served there are imaginative and creative and, well, brilliant. My daughter and I ate at Root Down on a Sunday night. We were greeted by a friendly host and shown to a... More

My friend and I had the fried chicken and goat cheese biscuits, avocado crab cake Benedict and bottomless classic and blood orange mimosas and could not have been happier! Our server was excellent, never stopped the drinks and always checked in to make sure we were happy. This is most definitely my new favorite brunch spot! Most importantly- they take... More

Once again, we had a terrific meal at Root Down. The gnocchi, arepas, kale salad, and Korean short rib were delicious, and the vegetarian sliders with sweet potato fries were out of this world. Great cocktails, a Portuguese nice red blend on the specials, and a nicely spicy chai completed the meal. Also commendable was the service. Top notch on... More

My partner and I love this place! Great food, creative cocktails and dishes, sometimes they have a raw night. It's worth the hassle to park.

Description
Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
