Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the

We had a delicious dinner at this beautiful restaurant in an old gas station. There are many choices for vegetarians, including arepas. The service was friendly. The restaurant is on a hill overlooking the city, which you can see from the outdoor space.

A bit pricy but definitely worthwhile. Great tasting - farm to table and sustainable sourced food. Very delicate and pretty presentation and tasted even better. Attention to detail and service was wonderful.

Love the food here - we ate all vegetarian dishes the last time and they were so flavorful. Cozy for date night or group setting. They have a great list of cocktails and fun outdoor seating. Always enjoy coming here!

The food is delightful and the mimosas are delicious and plentiful! It's a great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even bridal or baby showers. Be prepared to wait because they can get super busy.

Everything we had--starters, main plates and desserts were amazing. They were super respectful of my mushroom allergy (even though it's not life-threatening) and even put the mushrooms in my husband's starter on the side so we could share (which was wonderful because his starter was...More

There was 3 of us and we shared a few apps. We ordered the Arepas, Carrot Gnocchi, tacos, and sweet potato fries. All items enlightened our taste buds. In addition it was a fun atmosphere with good service.

My kids and I dropped in for dinner in a Sunday night. They were busy so we found seats at the bar. We all enjoyed our meals of steak, vegetarian sliders and a rock fish in Thai broth. The staff was very friendly and helpful....More

If you are looking for good food and fun people to mingle around. This is the place! They also have a nice view of downtown. The decor is fun and trendy.

This restaurant has been round for a while but the food is still delicious and the vegetarian options are always winners. The noise level is often extreme though so I’d suggest going a little before or after the heavy traffic times.

Root Down is a very tightly packed venue with no major open space for a dog. As a dog owner, I wish US laws would be more like France where dogs in restaurants are a common event.
