A local gourmet spot with good service and fresh food. Everything was good. They do like nut she in most dishes which was a bit different. Not romantic at all but more of a energetic vibe. Great patio.

Clearly labeled menu with many local food sources listed. Knowledgeable staff who ask about food allergies. I had the veggie and cheese board: might be one of the best things I've eaten in recent memory. Reservations needed to eat inside, but if you are willing...More

We ordered the veggie burger sliders and they were phenomenal. The sauces, sweet potato fries-all delicious. The chopped salad was excellent too. Corn chowder was the perfect start for our meal. Laid back vibe, first rate food, fantastic view from outdoor patio of the downtown...More

Found this place on TripAdvisor. Worth the lofty ranking. Atmosphere is great. It's a converted garage. Good patio. Bottomless mimosas. I had the crab cakes Benedict. Very good. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend reservations.

We especially enjoy Root Down for the patio, which provides a good view of the downtown Denver skyline. Food is above average. For brunch I had the crab eggs Benedict. Crab was good, eggs poached well, though the sauce was a little bland and skimpy....More

A unique menu that was fun and just-enough-different flavor combinations that enhanced the experience. Good waitstaff attention and we enjoyed the option to dine outside and view twilight settle over the Denver skyline.

Food was outstanding. Service was amazing! I can't wait to return one day. The duck sliders were delish! Make a reservation they get super busy. One of the best mojitos I have ever had.

Root Down is a very tightly packed venue with no major open space for a dog. As a dog owner, I wish US laws would be more like France where dogs in restaurants are a common event.

Description
Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
