We made a last minute reservation for two for restaurant week and the only seating available was at the “Chef’s Counter”. What a wonderful experience! We got to sit at the counter overlooking the kitchen and chat with the chef all evening! He even snuck...us a few extra tastes. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!More

This is a lovely restaurant - a very nice ambiance, and just the right size - big enough for interest, and small enough that it doesn't feel crowded. The food is excellent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that...they need another wait person. The gentleman we had was excellent, but there were quite a few diners and it took a long time for him to collect drink orders, take food orders, and to bring the bill. This was not his fault - he was hustling, but he could have used another pair of hands to help him handle everyone and everything.More

Atelier is French for workshop and that is precisely what Denver star chef (since before there was such a thing as a celebrity chef) Radek Cerny has created in the old Il Posto space on 17th Ave. Not too big, not too small but just...right. An intimate cozy spot for an elegant little pre-holiday lunch today. Hadn't seen him in many years (Boulder makes me twitchy) and it was nice to see him behind the burners down here in Denver. Boulder enjoyed him far too long - let them eat berries and twigs! Both food and service (thank you Pascal) were nothing less than what I expect from Chef Radek - utter perfection. Lunch menu isn't extensive but tightly curated to play to his French fine dining background. Started by sharing a textbook country pâté with warm buttered crouton. Haven't seen a prettier plate since Papillon closed so many years ago. We both had off menu specials ($16). He the bouillabaisse chock full all kinds of fresh sea creatures and I an unusual, but oh so delicious, boeuf strogonov (his spelling). The beef tips are cooked to order (mid-rare) and served with sautéed wild mushrooms in a very decadent creamy sauce over angel hair pasta. Really, I was full about half way through because it was so rich but too good to waist (lol) - so loosed the belt a notch and finished it off. With two glasses of Vermentino for my friend the check was $78 - quite reasonable if you ask me.More

For a fine dining experience where we our bill was over $150 a person, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Had we known how the night would transpire, we would have gone somewhere else. Save your money and go...somewhere else. I am giving this restaurant two stars instead of one because the lobster ravioli and bread were delicious. Pros: - pleasant decor - lobster ravioli - bread. They receive everything from the grateful bread company and it was the best aspect of the entire night. Cons: - poorly cooked dishes (the fish served was raw in the middle) - indifferent staff (didn't ask how our dinner was, and after asking for the fish to be cooked throughout, no one asked how it was), - poor selection (multiple options were "sold out", and the "chef's creations" were poorly concocted catastrophes) - misleading dishes (the vegetable entrees we ordered was 90% starches and had less than two bites of actual vegetables)More

Fantastic!!!! We enjoyed every piece of dinner, Frenchy’s recommendations were accurate, wine 10/10 (cost-benefit), appetizers and entries, but the closing note of dessert a very dark chocolate was top.

Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Atmosphere was in between casual and fine dining. The staff was very attentive, professional, and gave great recommendations with menu choices. Our food was so good and the portions were very generous....We made the mistake of ordering too many appetizers and barely had enough room in our bellies for the main course. With the kitchen being open, you could see Chef Radex working away at his masterpieces. Even later in the night he was sitting at a table with a couple patrons. As we walked towards the exit, he asked how our evening was and if we enjoyed the food. His welcoming and laid back demeanor made it all even better! You definitely should make reservations for this place if you want to experience this gem.More

Recommended by our B&B host. The meal was exquisite and the wait staff very friendly and attentive. A couple can eat there for $150 with tip if you both have a glass of wine and an appetizer with your meal. I wish I lived in...Denver so I could eat here again.More

Atleria by Radex Katerina our waitress was so fun and attentive. Radex is a genius in the kitchen. We cannot believe how he was able to pull off a five course meal paired with the perfect vine. Fabulous! Started with salmon tartare for the first...course, second course was wild mushroom soup, third course, Boucher muscles, Braised buffalo short ribs and the desert was light and fluffy and amazing. It was Profheroles with chocolate mousse. It is a small place and I am sure it will fill up fast, I WOULD call to make a reservation soon and tell Radex I said hello.More

Having spent 26 days travelling around South West USA we had the best meals on our first (in Grand Junction) and last evenings. This is an excellent restaurant with superb food and service to match. The restaurant was a 5 minute walk from where we...were staying and is in middle of a small parade of 3 restuarants and a couple of shops. The restaurant is small with the open kitchen in one corner though it has an eating area outside if the weather is good. We had been recommended to book which we are glad we did as soon after we arrived the restaurant was nearly full. As it was our last night in Denver we ordered a couple of Kir Royals to start with. For our starters I chose the salmon tartare whilst my wife chose the avocado crab salad. Both wee excellent - full of flavour, beautifully presented and delicioius. For our main courses I chose the venison from the Wapiti Elk whilst my wife had the TV Dinner - a lovely take on 1960s with food groups in a neatly divided tray except in this case the main ingredient was lobster. The venison was superb with a lovely jus, perfectly cooked and again full of flavour. My wife loved the lobster which was also perfectly cooked. After 2 wonderful courses we decided to share the "hot love" dessert which was vanilla ice cream, raspberry coulis with cream & grey goose vodka. Most enjoyable !!!! The restauarnat isnt cheap but the quality of the food, the excellent service forom friendly & helpful staff made it all worthwhile. The chef/owner who was working away throughout the evening made sure that all the dishes were served in a timely manner. It was the perfect end to a wonderful trip. Although the restaurant is a about 1.5 miles away from the downtown area it is worth making a trip hereMore

This is a five star in Denver that is absolutely wonderful. It was a moderately busy evening and the whole presentation and service was so accommodating. We were with friends and busy getting caught up and chatting away like crazy. The server recognized this and...was very professional in picking her spots to intervene accordingly but all the while managing the delivery and removal of plate drinks and refills. Good size portions and just a great experience. But at that price it should be.More
