It's hard to find a really good restaurant in Cripple Creek. This one is the best! Excellent food, large portions, and low prices. Excellent service puts them on top!

The whole town is dead. There is no reason to go to this town. It looks like a casino is under construction. Nothing was open including some of the existing casinos.

The first think you may become aware of is the number of casinos in Cripple Creek. It seemed like there were way too many for such a small town – several small ones on multiple blocks of the main street. Maggie’s is a restaurant in...the bottom of the Colorado Grande Casino. They are admittedly understaffed (acknowledged on a sign requesting understanding), but the servers and wait staff worked very hard and were focused on their customers (ours was #1005 – C. Quaels and he was great!). We came for lunch and it was very good. Their basic cheeseburger with onion rings upgrade was really good, although cooked a bit beyond the medium request. The Reuben with fries was excellent but was too much to eat. All reasonably priced. We definitely recommend Maggie’s in Cripple Creek for lunch.More

Even though there was a sign on the door that the restaurant was short staffed, our service was great.... a delightful waitress that has worked there for a number of years. Food was served in good time, HOT and delicious. Best potato soup ever! Restaurant...was cozy and easy to visit in. Will surely go back.More

Yummm! The soup of the day (goulash and clam chowder) was awesome. Wine was only $3 a glass. Waitresses were great. We ate here 2x! Don’t miss it!

I dont think Cripple Creek is overflowing with eateries. The Casinos seem to try and get people to eat in the casions etc and there doesnt seem to be much of a choice when looking for an evening meal not surrounded by slot machines. We...kinda ended up in Maggies as there was hardly anywhere else to go in the evening - but it was fortunate as this place was actually quite good. Although it wasnt busy the staff were friendly and attentive.... we chose rack of spare ribs and (typically) underestimated the amount of food that was about to appear at the table. Huge portions and quality meat as well. Far too stuffed for a desert. We took a reasonable amount of spare ribs back with is in a doggy bag and it tasted great the next morning also. All in all very happy with Maggies.More

I ordered the Rueben at Dinner time and was disappointed with the amount of meat on my sandwich. Three thin slices of Corned Beef. I had to send it back because one half of the sandwich was burned. When I asked the server why there...was such little meat, she replied that they now have to adhere to what management has told them for serving size of food. For the price I paid $10.95 it should have more meat. Never had such a bad experience in Cripple Creek. Also, the cleanliness of the dining room was also bad. Tables sticky and smeared.More

We were in Cripple Creek and looking for lunch. We walked by Maggies and decided to give it a go. They were very busy at noon on a Wednesday but they were definitely working hard to keep things moving. I had a tuna salad on...a croissant that was a great sandwich. My wife had the cobb salad that was huge! When we left at 1pm there were about 20 people in line!!More

Horrid customer service. Website said family friendly. Since it was a casino we looked for signs saying no one under 21 allowed, there where none We walked in to ask how to get to Maggie’s and a tall bald man who worked there aggressively approached...us telling us to leave. I tried to tell him we just wanted to leave and he told me no kids allowed anywhere in the building. He aggressively walked toward us and was very threading while telling us we could not be there. WE WILL NEVER RETURN!More

We tried to eat here as a family - no kids allowed. The person they greeted us did direct us to the only other restaurants that allow children - Century, Wildwood, and Lombard’s in the Double Eagle Hotel. I believe Home cafe does as well.

The food was pretty good and huge portions. I had a huge club sandwich, sister had Mac n cheese with shrimp, mom had cheeseburger and brother had salmon. We had plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow. They were very short staffed (2 servers and the chef)...but Ingrid our waitress was working her butt off, there was another young man that just started yesterday but did not get his name that was also working hard. It’s definitely a place to try out but be patient. I don’t mind waiting a little longer as long as the staff is trying which they definitely wereMore

We read other reviews before selecting Maggies for dinner, and thought this place sounds great. We were beyond disappointed. The only positive was our waitress who was extremely polite and attentive. My husband got a cheeseburger and it was overcooked and like a brick. The...fries were bland and a little blah. He barely touched his food. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side salad. The salad was the best of the meal. Frozen, then fried steak, instant mashed potatoes and gravy from a powder or jar. How hard is it to make fresh mashed potatoes? It was comparable to a frozen meal. Hopefully the owners and cooks will read this review and improve. Simple changes can result in much better food!More

Late lunch around 3 on a weekday while vacationing, place was understandably fairly empty due to the time of day but our server was very good, even though she usually works upstairs at the casino, she said. I had the taco salad with ground beef...with plenty of sour cream on the side and slices of avocado on top, which was great and he got a pulled pork sandwich with fries...he thought the fries were a bit overdone but loved the sandwich with cole slaw. He had a Bloody Mary and I had a margarita and both were quite good. Reasonable prices especially for a tourist area.More
