I was a long time fan of this restaurant. It in my opinion had the best burgers in town. But it has closed its doors for good. We do not yet know if someone will decide to try to re open but it has been closed all season 2016 so don't waste your time trying to find it. Just pick... More

That doesn't affect The Creek's status as an excellent place (especially for lunch) in downtown Cripple Creek. The buffalo and elk burgers are superb, especially the elk (can't find that in many places), the BLT on sour dough excellent and then ... the onion rings really stand out. Atmosphere is nice, people are nicer and the old bar legitimately historic.... More

We stopped in and the place is beautiful. Owners live in Texas and really did a wonderful job restoring the historic building from 1897. A big thank you goes out to them. The food is cooked from scratch and absolutely delicious! They have pizza, Elk burgers, Buffalo burgers, Beef, Chicken, Philly Steak and more. And they cut their fries and... More

Really good burgers. I was quite impressed and would visit again. Restaurant is only open a few days a week. Which was rather disappointing.

Little hole in the wall. Just ok, bar menu with greasy burgers and such. Service was a bit slow. 1st beer was skunky but promptly replaced with a fresh one. I think the waitress was a druggie. Food wasn't great but not awful either. Pretty typical of what I've come to expect in Cripple Creek.

We waited over 40 minutes for 2 individual pizzas and a kid's chicken fingers plate. We saw our waitress mix up two other tables' orders. When the patrons noticed, she asked them if they had taken bites yet and when they said no, she switched their plates around. Yuck! Our food was good when it arrived, but it wasn't so... More

Was so pleased, the elk burger was prepared perfect and the fried were great. The service was fast, friendly and attentive without hovering.

The sour grapes review that precedes this one is unfortunately not accurate. We had BLT & Philly steak, one with fresh cut fries and the other with onion rings. Fries and rings are worth the visit, sandwiches were average. Beer cold and service friendly. Didn't have a burger so cannot comment on that. Was asked twice if we wanted a... More

The ranking of a five in a little town doesn’t mean a thing. We were hoping to enjoy some grilled burgers, but the creek did not deliver. The burgers were definitely fried and small. Puny would be a better word to describe them. My wife ordered a hamburger and I ordered an elk burger with onion rings. Even the onion... More
