My husband and I are always looking for "off the beaten path" types of places to eat and Shuga's did not disappoint. I had the spicy shrimp soup and the quiche of the day. My husband had the clam chowder and the sandwich with the artichokes, capers, tapenade and other fillings. Both were very good and we left full after... More

The Cuban sandwich was recommended and very good. I am from Miami, so I have a little history with the sandwich. The menu looked like there are many items worth trying and will definitely go back. You can eat outside and inside but lunch time can get crowded. You may want to think that over when planning to dine, but... More

Love Shugas charm. You just can't miss with the food and drinks. Everything about this place more eclectic than normal (along with the building decor) . Every time I go, I can never get enough of their spice a shrimp soup - YUMMY!!! It's a sure stop for a great lunch!

Found this place on trip advisor for a late lunch when I hit town. Very laid back joint in an old retrofitted house. Sat at the bar and notice everyone had a drink of some sort. Ordered the mojito. Wow, excellent. Ask the barkeep what the best sandwich, the Cuban was the choice. Brought me the house soup by mistake,... More

Yuck, a very long hair in the Nicoise salad! The spicy shrimp soup is always good. The lavender martini was poured on the short side. The waiter was friendly.

I was told how good this restaurant was only to find it did sandwich's. I was a little dismayed to see that pork and pork products were the majority of the menu. This made it very difficult to find something edible as I don't eat pork. My friend ordered a salad on a pita and I found the presentation lacking.... More

This is a relaxed but intimate restaurant - it reminds me of something out of the 70's. There is a casual friendliness about it. The menu is varied and decidedly good. One of their standard bearers is spicy Brazilian shrimp soup - it is beyond tasty and satisfying.. There is an avant-garde quality to their menu with freshness and herbs... More

Great menu, fun atmosphere, and food lived up to the description. The lamb stew was a great starter ... Full of bold perfectly blended flavors. The cocktails were creative and fun... You have to try a couple of them! There is something for everyone on the menu.

Had the spinach artichoke dip for an app and spicy pork ramen for dinner. Spinach artichoke dip was unique, hot, and delicious. The ramen was fantastic, the broth would of been good out of a toilet bowl. We had a carafe of sangria with our meal and everything was done very well. Friendly staff and very comfortable setting, especially liked... More

Established in 2001.

Shuga's was created by Alexius Weston as a place to hang out with great food and really inventive cocktails. She had just come from the Northwest area of the country and wanted to create a cool space where she felt comfortable. Initially focusing on Vivace espresso as a delicious mainstay, the place soon morphed into serving amazing paninis, salads, and the out-of-this-world Brazilian Coconut Shrimp Soup. The infusion of Lavender Martinis and cocktails created with care helped launch Shuga's into the forefront of the local Colorado Springs food scene.
