The line outside the door should have been a clue that there was something awesome available inside! A chance encounter with the lovely lady next to me in line led me to try one of the large Bavarian style Pretzels. Oh my! It was light,...crunchy, salty and buttery. Clearly the best pretzel I have ever enjoyed... and I have had several in my lifetime! Everything we purchased was delicious! The Cinnamon Roll was equally light and fluffy, the Plum Cake flavorful and full of fresh plums. Both of them heated up were melt-in-your-mouth awesome! I would absolutely go back to try the other pastries. They also had a beautiful deli with lots of fresh-looking meats and imported treats. I HIGHLY recommend a stop here!More

If the line in front of this business was any indication of what to expect we knew we were in for a treat. And oh my word, we have indeed found an epic German bakery and deli! We were greeted warmly by a very sweet...woman who explained the menu and the ordering process (due to COVID19). We placed our order and were quickly on our way. I ordered several different varieties of freshly baked breads. A sandwich for myself and my darling. Everything was exceptional! Don’t let the line out front intimidate you, it moves quickly and you’ll be rewarded with authentic German delights.More

Okay, that means the best bread. I grew up in Germany and love the Bauernbrot and other breads. Remember that this is a delicatessen, not a restaurant. Do NOT leave without buying rolls. If you have your heart set on rolls don't go just before...the close as they run out. They do not overstock, so each day you get fresh. You can also call them and have your order set aside to pick up. If you want the wurst that you have had in Germany, both links and sandwich cold cuts, you'll find them here. Magazines also, mostly the usual German gossip magazines. You can also speak German and almost all the staff is German or speaks it. Now if only they had a cafe to go with the food, but no such luck.More

My traveling companion felt like she had flashed back to her childhood days in Germany when she stepped into Wimberger's. Meats, cheeses, pastries, candies, etc. - a true culinary delight and an unexpected find for us on our trip to Colorado Springs. Good food. Helpful...staff. Tip - Go early to get the best selection and availability. This place was hopping both times we went there and traffic in and out was steady.More

My parents lived in Germany for many years and when they visit us in Colorado Springs, we always find a reason on go to Wimberger's to remind them of how much they loved their time in Wolfsburg!

I can't get enough of this AWESOME bakery. Their German break just melts in your mouth leaving you wanting more. Their meats are always fresh, and very good. Their pastries are out of this world. Please stay in business forever!!!
