This is a must visit for anyone visiting OCC, Manitou and COS. I miss my 2nd home there when visiting our Grandson. It was a morning ritual to go pick out a pretzel and look at the fish in the pond. They have a beautiful...fish pond- for kiddie viewing- I enjoyed too. They offer Great treats- for yourself or grandkids. The market offers authentic German fare. I especially enjoy the sausages and Pretzels- that are made daily! I buy the veal sausages grill them and use the long pretzels as rolls. They also make andouille for my Gumbo. I stock up on their saurekraurt too. I hope you make a visit there.More

First of all, anything European gets my attention! But I walked away raving about the soft fresh pretzels—never had one before. My husband’s mother living in NJ and originally from Germany, told us that Germans love their pretzels warm with butter. Oh my goodness, now...I’m hooked! Great place for European chocolates—I love Mozart chocolates and marzipan in particular—the pastries, and the German Cheesecake were a hit with my husband as well. We’ll be back!More

Wonderful german store and products! A lot of people though come from outside Co Springs. Shutting down at 4pm and 2pm Saturdays makes it for a lot of people impossible to get there on time or to find the products they want. 1-2 hours before...they close a lot of fresh products (meats, breads) are sold out.More

This store is small but it's cute and the products are amazing. However, the service is not. Every time my friends and I come here we immediately feel a negative vibe. This isn't Germany anymore, where it's acceptable to be rude and lazy, please have...some self-respect before you give a customer a nasty look and try to start an argument out of nowhere. I'm coming here since 2013, but I avoid this store as much as possible, because the service gets worse every time. To mention not everyone here is rude, it's the very overweight woman in particular. Other than the two horrible service workers the store is great and I would still recommend it.More

We love this place! The breads and pastries are out of this world! (TIP: Go early in the morning for the best selection). Their deli sandwiches are also great. The Staff are happy and helpful! We're bringing a larger cooler next time!

Don't know why they call themselves a bakery because they don't bake anything in house. All of the breads and baked goods come from other sources. Their hours of operation are not the most convenient for people who work.

The pretzels are so fresh, not overly salted, and just delicious! They have a variety of pastries and rolls, the poppyseed are devine! The homemade sauerkraut is such a treat, and they are very nice there! This place is popular and stays steady with customers!

I come here every time I am in town. Their pastries are fresh and wonderful. Lots of sweet options and a few savory ones. Get there early, as in 8 am early. They run out before lunch. They have taken precautions and wrapped all pastries,...and employees help you grab them from behind a clear shield. The deli meats are popular. They have a small section of preserves and chocolates. Great service.More

Having lived in Germany, I was delighted to find a genuine German bakery and deli! The baked goods were all fresh and tasty. The deli offers a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and other items - either pre-sliced and packaged or cut to order. Many...other German (imported) items for sale including chocolates and candies. Highly recommend.More

Visiting Colo Springs for a week, we discovered a German Deli just north of downtown. I was like a kid in a German Can Store, picking up so many items to bring back to Texas (believe it or now, Austin doesn't have one, dang it)....Sausages, condiments, Marzipan, and so much more. It's famous for their bakery, and you have to make sure to get there really early as they sell out FAST! Only open 7-3 during the week and I think 7-2 on weekends. Not open all the time, so check ahead.More

In June we spent a few days in Colorado Springs on our way to Moab. We stopped by this bakery/deli and got pastry on our way out of town. Their blueberry pastry is one of the best things I have EVER eaten. Amazing! Wish we...had discovered this place earlier in our visit.More

I've been in the area so many times and never knew that a great German deli / bakery was close. I grabbed some deli favorites from my childhood and kept a few for the relatives. The pretzels are as described. My only advice is to...eat them fresh. I made a mistake and tried to take them on a road trip a couple of days later.More

The line outside the door should have been a clue that there was something awesome available inside! A chance encounter with the lovely lady next to me in line led me to try one of the large Bavarian style Pretzels. Oh my! It was light,...crunchy, salty and buttery. Clearly the best pretzel I have ever enjoyed... and I have had several in my lifetime! Everything we purchased was delicious! The Cinnamon Roll was equally light and fluffy, the Plum Cake flavorful and full of fresh plums. Both of them heated up were melt-in-your-mouth awesome! I would absolutely go back to try the other pastries. They also had a beautiful deli with lots of fresh-looking meats and imported treats. I HIGHLY recommend a stop here!More

If the line in front of this business was any indication of what to expect we knew we were in for a treat. And oh my word, we have indeed found an epic German bakery and deli! We were greeted warmly by a very sweet...woman who explained the menu and the ordering process (due to COVID19). We placed our order and were quickly on our way. I ordered several different varieties of freshly baked breads. A sandwich for myself and my darling. Everything was exceptional! Don’t let the line out front intimidate you, it moves quickly and you’ll be rewarded with authentic German delights.More
