We arrived at the restaurant after dark in early January and the festive lighting outside made a great impression and was very inviting. As others have said, the interior of the restaurant is also very interesting and makes for a great ambiance. Our waitress was...More

This restaurant is an old-established German restaurant with true German food. The interior of the restaurant resembles a Swiss chalet or hunting lodge and is homey. We ate dinner there and had the best server ever; Wesley spent time with us, explaining the menu but...More

Edelweiss serves authentic German food in a great aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The menu has everything one would expect from a German restaurant, and everything is great. Seriously, everything our family ordered was delicious and have us planning our next visit. I highly recommend ordering the...More

We enjoyed the taste of German. The bratwurst and Edelweiss platter. Service was slow and inattentive.

After living in Europe for 5 years and traveling to Germany more than 30 times I was excited to find a German restaurant in the Springs. The schnitzel was excellent! The potatoes and sauerkraut were so good and everything was pretty close to authentic. The...More

Still great love the sauerbraten. They have an amazing collection of dark ales too. I usually get the pork cutlets with mushrooms and hunters sauce. Delicious. The salads are lovely with pickled green beans and beets and the rolls are always fresh and really good.

Took my wife here for our anniversary because our favorite German restaurant closed. We have tried it here 3 times and is always the same. The staff is (for lack of better phrasing) uppity. This last time when we were there the server barely came...More

Edelweiss has been around a great many years and popular with people rather set in their ways. Bavarian atmosphere and menu to match. The food is classic German and to say "hearty" is an understatement! The German spinach salad was very good and one helping...More

We can always make something from scratch that would satisfy all those requirements. When you come in take a look at the menu and talk with the server and she can coordinate with the Chef. Thank you!

For over 40 years this family-owned German Restaurant on the south side of Colorado Springs has served over a million happy customers. The restaurant invites guests to dine in one of its several rooms decorated with artifacts from Europe. With strolling musicians on Friday and Saturday nights, three blazing fireplaces in winter, and an authentic "Biergarten" in summer, you are sure to enter into another world as a guest at Edelweiss. The authentic menu with a variety of Old World German dishes includes Schnitzel, Bratwurst, and Sauerbraten, with newer-age items such as Flammekuchen and Maultaschen. For those not so adventurous palates Edelweiss offers other Continental fare such as Chicken Cordon Bleu, Filet Tournedos, or Fresh Salmon Filet. Imported German Beers and Wines can be ordered to compliment any of the flavorful dishes. The European-trained Swiss Pastry Chef bakes all of the desserts from scratch, so save room for one of the rich Tortes or pastries, or take some to go.
