We arrived within a half hour of closing . The owner was inhospitable and unfriendly interrupting us and seemingly offended by our basic and innocuous questions about the food which was unfamiliar to us . Based on that alone would not return . Maybe she was having a bad night but was very uncomfortable for the party .

This little restaurant is one of my personal favorites in Colorado Springs. It's located right along Old Colorado City, where there are lots of neat little places to check out and enjoy (Sweet Elephant across the street is a cute little winery and coffee shop also). After checking it out, this is a great spot to grab lunch or dinner!!... More

Never had Ethiopian food before and was excited to give it a try. The staff is very friendly and serve very tasty food. It's fun to eat with your hands using their unique bread. If you are up for a tasty adventure, give this place a try!

The owner, Mya was wonderful! She explained the food, how to eat with the bread traditionally, and even gave us samples of the teas. The food was amazing and in large portions. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere gave us the cultural experience with music and decor. We will definitely return in our upcoming visit.

A couple of nights ago my husband and I ate our first - of what will be many - meals at Uchenna. I wanted to try something different, we chose Ethiopian, and had a delicious meal; fun, too, as we ate with our hands. Service was perfect with the owner's daughter graciously giving us the one-two of Ethiopian food and... More

Amazing food and service. Owned by a very kind family! They have a really great Gluten Free chocolate dessert cake. Also the entrees are very healthy.

This is a great little find! It is tucked away in small strip of shops. The atmosphere is family friendly and unique in its decor. They offer both Ethiopian and Mediterranean food. My son and I opted for Ethiopian and my daughter chose Mediterranean. Everything was excellent! They do not serve beer or wine. The food was fresh and delicious.

I regularly find myself in Colorado Springs for business and have been meaning to make it here since January of this year. This past trip (July 2016) I finally did. I didn't even realize that I had walked by the restaurant multiple times, It's in the little strip right near the clock tower in Old Colorado City. I used to... More

My family and I have eaten here a couple of times, and this is our favorite place in town. The staff is really friendly, the food is incredible and you might even get served by the wonderful owner. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a peaceful meal, with great food. The seafood combo, chicken and... More

I have been to Uchenna several times in the many years I have lived in the Springs. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Springs. I love the family atmosphere here. Whether it's Mya or her daughter, both are very welcoming and loving. We had the pleasure of the daughter helping us as Mya was taking a well... More
