Uchenna is a family business with food prepared by a very good cook (and desserts prepared by her daughter). It was wonderful to experience something different - and tasty, and fun to eat (no silverware). Delicious lamb, mopped up with Injera. And flourless chocolate "cake"...More

My brother in law married an Ethiopean, and we had traditional Injera before. We went there because we wanted some more of that stuff, and we weren't disappointed. First, the bad. The place is expensive and the portions are relatively small. However, the portions are...More

I had never had Etheopian food before visiting Uchenna. It was very unique and delicious. If you are looking for something different definitely check out Uchenna.

I loved the food there. It's tasty, interesting and they can accommodate to your spice level. You must try their dessert baklava, it's heavenly.

Great food and their Ethiopian coffee is the best around. Everything on the menu is fantastic and the staff is very helpful if you are new to the etiquette of the cuisine.

Ethiopian home cooked food, done really well, hidden in a corner in Old Colorado City. Well worth finding. Just be careful, because when they ask you if you want regular or spicy, spicy definitely means spicy! Great food that you can eat without a knife...More

The restaurant has moved about 2 doors to the west of where this picture was taken. This was our first visit and we knew nothing about Ethiopian food. On that note, I strongly advise one to read the first page of the menu to learn...More

There are many restaurants serving excellent meals, but this is only one I've been to where warm hugs are freely added to the menu. Call it intentional salesmanship if you like. I call it uniquely authentic and divine.
Hi did you have a restaurant in an area just outside of Colorado Springs in a historical area. I can't remember the name of it and would to visit there again. Thank you.

If it's Uchenna for which you're looking, then look no further. This is my all-time favorite restaurant. There is really something special about Chef Maya.
