We have been going to Rudy's since he was on Nevada originally. The food has always been constant spicyness depends on the chili he buys, everything is always made to order even if you ask for eggs in your burrito. Rudy and Lily are the...best and always there as far back as I remember, most of the staff has always been awesome as staff comes and goes. We have eaten there as the only people in the restaurant and when it's packed always great food. Plus margaritas are a bonus. The only issue I have is you charge an inflation fee at the same time you raise prices. Isn't inflation having the price raised?More

We were greeted by the friendly hostess and she said "you can sit anywhere you want" and with it being 45 minutes till closing and no other customers in line, we chose to sit at a corner table kind of secluded, but it was a...table for 6. The waitess walks up and asks us "how many"..my husband and I just looked at each other like did she really just ask that? I thought maybe she meant how many drinks so I said coke and she immediately said "no, I mean how many people" looking at us like we were idiots for choosing the table we chose. We both said two people and very snotty, she said well can you move to another table? Mind you there were PLENTY of tables and NO other customers besides the couple of tables already there and it was almost closing! So, needless to say we walked out and I looked over and that waitress had a smirk on her face not even trying to satisfy her customers. Then I proceeded to call up there and the girls answering the phone would not let me speak to the owner, Rudy. They kept hanging up on me. All my husband and I wanted was a relaxing meal in a nice atmosphere and all we got was a rude and hateful waitress that made us feel like we did something wrong for choosing to sit "anywhere we wanted ". I would not recommend this place to anyone! Alphonso's is all about customer satisfaction, so try them out!More

We ate a late lunch here yesterday. I had cheese enchiladas with chili relleno, my husband had a smothered burrito. The food was ok. Good, not great. Service was very friendly, though. They have a very nice patio space with a view of the mountains....My main complaint about this place is when we got the bill, there was a 3 and 1/2 percent “inflation fee”. Their wording, not mine. I was having a pretty good time up until then, eating their mediocre food on their nice patio… But getting charged an extra fee - on top of tax and a tip - that wasn’t even listed on their menu anywhere (if it was, we didn’t see it) and then calling it an “inflation fee” really rubbed us the wrong way and killed the pleasant dining vibe we’d been having. Just raise the price of your food by a dollar. I am a grownup and realize the price of food, labor, etc. has gone up in the past few years. Management or the owner doesn’t need to tell me their veiled sociopolitical comment about it by tacking on an “inflation fee”. Just raise the prices by a dollar or so, everyone else has. Giving 3 stars though because the patio space was pleasant and the service was good.More

This is a Mexican restaurant, a fact difficult to discern from the name. We arrived at 11:30 for lunch. A woman near he entrance mumbled over her shoulder to sit anywhere. We chose a spot and were ignored for about ten minutes, no water, no...chips & salsa, nada. Eventually, a waiter appeared to take a drink order, followed by a female server with menus. Still no chips & salsa--then or ever. We placed orders; the food arrived lukewarm, a good indication that it sat for awhile before being delivered to the table. The quality was okay, but far from outstanding. The entire workforce seemed disorganized as they fumbled about their duties. This was our first and last visit.More

We stopped for lunch here after a trip to see the Seven Falls and I’m so glad we did! Incredible food. They started us off with freshly made tortilla chips and delicious salsa. Our party of six each ordered something different and everyone was raving...about how good their food was. Sizeable portions at affordable prices too - put it this way if you leave here hungry, it’s your fault!More

We have tried several Mexican places in Colorado. Being from Texas we are used to a different type of mexican food and haven’t found any that we like until now. We tried both quesos. One was just plain cheese. The other with red chilis was...good. The cheese enchiladas and tamale with red chili gravy are excellent. Margaritas on the rocks are good. Frozen ones not so much but the server warned us. Good service and atmosphere. Nice view of the mountains. Will be back for sure.More

We went on a Thursday night, the website says happy hour from 7am to 8pm, well let's just say that wouldn't honor that. Our waitress was terrible, did not ask us how about food was or anything. The food was very bland, and very dry....For the price, you can go to La Casita right down the treet for great service and only a fraction of the price. They also charge an extra 3.5 % to your ticket for inflation, give me a break.More

There was nothing wrong with the food but nothing exceptional either. I did like that they serve breakfast all day. That sure made my nephews happy. I thought it was a little pricy for lunch. Not the lunch specials I'm used to in Fort Worth.

Visiting from Florida and was looking for good Mexican in the area. I read some really good reviews about this place and decided to try. If you’ve had good Mexican, you’ll quickly realize that this isn’t cutting it. Friendly service but very disappointed in the...food quality. It was alright, definitely not that best I’ve ever had.More

Rudy's is an impossibility where I live in Tennessee. It's a Mexican restaurant that is open for breakfast and is out of this world good. The first thing to try is Huevos Rancheros and even though you may not have had it before, order it...with the green chili... trust me. it's got enough kick to make sure you are awake but it's not so hot that you will regret the order. Rudy's is a special place that I visit at least once each time I'm out in the Springs. It is easy to pass up, hence the name, "Hideaway," but once you pull in there for the first time, you will be back!More

I do not recommend this place at all. Upon seeing it rated #1 in the area I am still trying to think of how and why. It took at least 15 minutes to be acknowledged at the door and get seated, and another HOUR after...getting seating to recieve our food only to have not gotten the queso we requested previously; but this is first time we even saw our waitress again since the first encounter. Quick to get our pitcher though compared to everything else, in about 10 minutes. Food wasn't anything special, and definitely not worth the wait. As someone who eats Mexican at least once I week this is the worst experience I have ever had. Save your time and go elsewhere.More
