A lovely dining experience with a great view of the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the steak (cooked table side) melted in my mouth. The house chutney they used on the filet was so flavorful!!

Pepper Tree Restaurant was an awesome and unique dining experience. The steaks were cooked perfectly and prepared table side. Went with the two chef recommendations and it did not disappoint. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! Cocktails and deserts were amazing as well! Highly recommend for upscale dining in the Colorado Springs area! Will for sure go back!

Took close friends to dinner for their fors experience at the Peppertree. Servuce was pretty good. Youngest wait staff were the most professional. Out main server was pretty good. We ordered our food and it came up promptly my wife ordered the large lobster. It looked goid. My wife did not understand why the bottom of the lobster was undercooked. I told the wait staff and they rectified it quickly. The filet mignon was undercooked for 2 meals. My friends decided to not make a fuss. We then ordered our dessertand it tasted very good. My complaint was when he notified the wait staff of the chipped bowl, he just said hmmm, as if to say, oh well. The last thing that happened was one member of the staff dropped a piece of silverware. Before he could picked it up, another member of the staff kicked the knife forward and it hit the chair of another patron. Then he kicked it again to get it out of the main restaurant. I thought it was a bit strange to do this with customers. I don't think we will be back there for a while.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years, used to have business meetings there. So I have had over 30 pepper steaks with chutney and pasta, I went for my over 45 year anniversary and I ordered the PS and wife had the Lobster and we both had the Caesar salad. The salad was OK. The bread was great when we got it. The Lobster had such a weird taste she could not eat it. the pasta served with the lobster had also a weird taste . My pepper steak was cooked well but the chutney was awful and even when scraped off the steak had a strange taste, like the pasta which had the same taste as the lobster pasta-- liked they cooked both in the lobster water. I could not eat it. The maître d acknowledged that they could not get the chutney==which i found at King Supers and changed their signature dish. They did not charge us for the main course==which is good as we did not eat a quarter of it. This was one of our go to places, but will not go back.

My wife and I went to this restaurant last night for our 21st anniversary so we booked our reservation weeks ago. We were the 2nd people in the door since our reservation was at 5PM and that’s the time they open. Many couples walked in after us and 3-4 tables were helped prior to finally a server coming to our table and greeting us. All of these couple were much older looking couples……my wife and I look young and this is no excuse. Then we were waiting a little bit for the server to come back to place our dinner order. We ordered caesar salad and the chateaubriand for two. We liked the fact that all of the food was made tableside. The food was good. After we finished our food we literally sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting for a server to take notice that we were done. Even though I was making eye contact as they were all walking by. Eventually I had grown tired of waiting so I had to stop a server and ask for a dessert menu. We got the creme brulee, got our check and left. I don’t like the fact that you have more than one server taking care of your table because there is nobody to keep track of a single table. I don’t like being profiled because of how I look or my age and that’s exactly what happened. I know because my wife and I deal with it at high end restaurants from time to time. Another couple walked in before us, looked young and dealt with the same thing when they first walked in as well. My wife and I definitely won’t be returning to this restaurant and I highly don’t recommend this place.

PepperTree Restaurant is a great place to dine for a special occasion or an upscale dining experience. They have a great menu and a lot of the dishes are cooked tableside. I started my meal with the seared scallops on a bead of Thai chili sauce. My aunt reconsider of the Chateaubriand (pan seared center cut filet mignon) for two, with a baked potato and vegetable medley. For dessert I ordered Apple pie à la mode. His meal was outstanding from start to finish. The Chateaubriand was cooked table side and flambéed (cooked with liquor and set it alight briefly), which provided an amazing dinning experience. This is a great local and upscale restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dining experience or special occasion. The staff was extremely efficient and friendly, as well as the prices were not very expensive for the food and service provided.

Visited for a special family dinner. Overall, a nice experience. It is fine dining in an old fashioned way: servers in tuxedos make your cherries jubilee table side. To their credit, though, they are still executing the service and dishes to a high standard. The exterior and interior are in-need of a refresh, as they look more worn than they should for the price point. It seems that one is coming soon; I noted on their website that they will be closed for a few weeks in 2024 for a renovation. It seems the dress code has been abandoned. I suppose that is a sign of the times but did find it ironic that waiters in tuxedos were serving guests in sneakers and athleisureware. And, bluntly, the screaming baby two tables over made it sometimes harder to enjoy a very expensive meal than I anticipated. Those atmospheric issues aside, the core meal was nice. There's a nice collection of classic and specialty cocktails; they were well-made. The menu is very classic: a few preparations of steak, a chicken breast, a pasta, a seafood special, etc. Dishes are served with a choice of rice, a potato, some vegetables, etc.; flavors are traditional, as is plating. Many steaks are prepared tableside. The food was good, though not astonishing. Escargots were in the garlicky butter you would expect; shrimp cocktails were fresh. The Caesar, made tableside, was truly classic, with the dressing featuring oil and an egg, less creamy than most. Steaks were prepared as requested; halibut was cooked appropriately. Desserts were very traditional: cherries jubilee and bananas foster flambayed tableside were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall, an expensive night out, but fun in an old fashioned, traditional sense.

Was great night out. Great View of the City - a bit noisy. Most of us ordered the Pepper Steak. Very different and excellent. Less peppery for me than sweet with a chutney sauce. We had an amazing evening. The drinks were a bit slow but the food was excellent. We were three couples and it was a bit disappointing that they added a 20% gratuity; a bad trend in dining - gratuity in this case was an assumed entitlement.

A favorite of ours since 1987. Their food and service has been consistently good for all that time. We had the chateaubriand for two which was excellent. Very good wine list. Table side preparation of several dishes is a special treat. Great view of the city.

Absolutely loved the service and the food. The table side meals are fun to watch. We had delicious stakes and shrimp but the Bananas Foster made by the table was the best part of the evening. The servers were great they did not rush you and were very attentive.. We will return to the Peppertree it was a terrific experience

I ordered the rack of lamb and was served 2/3 a rack. 6 bones instead of 8. Excuse given from chef was his costs. If you order a rack, you should not expect to receive a rack. Chef said no one has ever noticed it’s not a full rack. There were a number of other experiences that ruined the evening but this is one that I wanted to post. We will not return.

Good food and good service but overall rather average relative to its high cost. We heard a lot of great reviews about this place so perhaps our expectations were a bit elevated.

We ate here for my husband's birthday while we were in Colorado Springs. The food was spectacular and the waitstaff very attentive. Wonderful place for date night or special occasion. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.

This restaurant was terrible! Not worth the money! Slow rude service. The food was bland and salty, weird flavors, not Bavarian or Swiss at all.
