Ok,... The desire to go there was driven by the hype for sure. Rated best in springs in multiple categories, Food Network gave then accolades as well. So,... we went. The place is very inviting. open floor, friendly staff prompt service. ( Be advised,... this is a $$CASH ONLY$$ establishment ). If you forget, there is an ATM on site.... More

The Kings Chef Diner was a wonderful discovery on our trip to move our Colorado College student into his dorm. It's definitely a local place--everything is organic, non-GMO, and local. I had 'The Thing', which is a mound of crispy hash browns, mixed with crumbled thick cut bacon, topped with two eggs, topped with cheese and green chili sauce. And... More

I haven't been to KCD, but did see their spot on the Food Network. I make 'The Thing' for my kids all the time. They love it! Be very hungry!

Yes the portions can be huge. It is all so good from the eggs to the potatoes to the French toast and the green chile is so awesome. Plus ample vegetarian items including fake meats. Goofy in the best way and a very happy vibe there and you too will be happy and very stuffed. A must if in COS.

I went here with a group of friends on a Saturday morning, and this place was packed! So be sure to make reservations if you can. I ordered the mini breakfast burrito (trust me, it's enough for an adult) with half and half gravy and green chili. It was a good meal at a reasonable price.

Huge portions and great tasting breakfast options. A must eat if in Colorado Springs. Small place but definitely worth it. Recommend.

An eclectic cash only diner with breakfast and non breakfast options available during all dining hours. The staff was friendly, the music vibes were from Nirvana to Sublime to Skrillex and the place was clean. We shared some green chili & cheese fries, that were delicious & the 1/2 Pancho Vila which was good, a little heavy on the salt... More

Always wanted to eat here. Ordered the half Grump, which was perfectly sized for me. I would have had the full size for the clean plate decal but we wanted to stroll through Manitou Springs comfortably. Although there was a line out the door, as a couple, we only waited for 5 minutes, as 3s, 4s and more waited for... More

The food here is hands down amazing. The green chile is vegetarian which is a god send for me and very difficult to find going out. We got the huevos de king chef and my boyfriend got the breakfast burrito. It was so much food!!!! I even got the half order and could barely finish it. It may seem expensive... More

We went to King's Chef Diner for a sunday brunch, I got the "thing" a huge homelette stuffed with cheese and other delicious ...things. I got just half portion but it was definetely too much food. Good price, long line to get in, waiters not that gentle and polite though.

Thank Alex F
