Great Food, awesome prices and just the friendliest people. Super Impressed, the service was good too. Come hungry or use their half size or 1/4 size portion. Green Chili was the bomb. That's all Folks!

We found this place after searching “ Top rated breakfast in Colorado Springs”. The green chili breakfast burrito was loaded with scrambled egg, sausage, grilled onions, hash browns, and cheese, the topped with a generous amount of green chili. YUM! It was so big I...couldn’t eat it all (should have ordered the mini, which is half sized). The staff greeted guests the minute they walked in the door and they were very attentive throughout our meal, even offering free coffee to go! The diner is cash only (which we liked), and due to having huge portions, they also offer 1/2 and 1/4 sizes too!More

There have been many good reviews printed locally for years and KCD has received many Best Of awards so we finally tried their food. Have to say we have been missing out. We both had breakfast and were very pleased. We picked the half sized...portion and were glad we did. Although we finished our meals it was very filling. If you order a meal with green chile be warned that it is made with Habanero peppers. Anyone who thinks catsup is their spice limit should not order the green chile. There is a nice afterburn at the back of the throat that definitely gets your attention. The waitstaff was very attentive and the prices very reasonable for the portion and quality. We have a new favorite when in downtown CS.More

I went to the original location which is a couple of blocks from the Bijou St address. I'm a fan of Valentine diners and the Colorado Springs one is one of the best. Pretty much original on the inside. The breakfast was excellent and the...service great. Its cash only. If you have never been to one it's an experience. There is another Valentine in Colorado Springs but it's now closed and up for sale.More

Our trip to Colorado Springs came to an end with a butt load of snow and “sliding” into King Chef. This was a highly recommended stop, and was glad we could go before we hit the snowy highways. Luckily, we were able to get in...and get out quickly, weather kept people away. I am just glad they were open. Their portions are huge, but they have 1/2 and 1/4 order options which is awesome. Coffee was good, food was good, wait staff was kind and accommodating. Typical greasy food type of breakfast, but it is a diner after all. Tried the green chili sauce, very tasty, I got it on the side just to be on the safe side but ended up loving it! Also, it’s a cash only place, but they have an ATM machine in the diner for your convenience.More

Enjoyed eating at this funky diner. Had a sample of the green chili. Very hot. I enjoyed the French toast and he had a small burrito which was still huge. Good and friendly service. The servers watch over each other and great coverage.

We came at prime time breakfast time and I was thoroughly impressed with the huddle of the staff. The hostess team was really moving to get people sat and everyone was really pushing hard. Our service was great and I would highly recommend the burrito!

Took my family for brunch...It was not busy on a Saturday around 1pm. Service was incredibly slow. Sandwiches (patty melt and Reuben) were both toasted until they were burnt. We complained and they replaced the bread with more burnt bread. This was marble rye, but...it was literally burnt to a crisp. The corned beef in the reuben was so dry it was tasteless, daughter's patty melt was a thin piece of overcooked hamburger, child's hamburger we couldn't even cut with a knife. One guy had the burrito with green chile, and it made hime physically sick. I have eaten here before and while never great, it was edible.....not anymore.More

Everyone told me that I needed to try green chili. My first attempt wasn't good at another restaurant, but I decided I needed to give it one more try. I was glad that I did, the green chili at this restaurant on the skirt steak...burrito was awsome. My husband enjoyed his hoagie too. The pricing is very reasonable.More

Hi. I don’t work there. I’m just a customer. I’m afraid I don’t know if there is a senior menu or senior discount. Their phone number is (719) 636-5010 if you’d like to call and ask :-)

I don’t work for them, I’m just a customer. I have no idea if they have gift cards but perhaps you could call them to ask? Best wishes.
