This place is a great find. King-sized portions but plenty of smaller options for people with normal appetites. Service is quick and friendly. The options are tasty. An overall best-buy. Note that this is a cash-only establishment with an on-premises ATM.

Loved the diner feel along with the friendly staff. The food was pretty good too. I had a bronco steak and cheese. The ingredients tasted fresh. The restaurant overall was a great lunch spot for everyone.

I'm not sure about the negative reviews...there are 2 locations and we went to the original on E Bijou street...maybe that's the difference? Regardless, I'll venture to say it's the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. The diner is tiny but the service great and it has a really cool vibe. Can't go wrong with this spot in my opinion.... I've been to the original location and LOVED my famous breakfast burrito. This time I chose the mini. While the green chili is totally delicious, I was disappointed that my burrito "innards" were lacking. It was a lot of hashbrown and not much egg or sausage or even green chili! The coffee and side of bacon were delicious. Next time... More

We had a lot of family in town and found great reviews, so we went for dinner. Everyone found something they liked on the menu and everyone was pleased. The green chili was amazing! The kids loved the cheese burgers and hot dogs so much they had seconds. The waitress was friendly and helpful and answered plenty of questions. Everyone... More

We went here based on the reviews and good things we read. I have no idea why it's ranked so highly. The atmosphere is rather cold and very noisy, the staff is quick to move on to other tables, and the food is forgettable. I ordered the huevos de king chef. It was a tasteless, watery mess and nothing I... More

We've been hearing rave reviews about how good the food is supposed to be etc. Today we finally made it over here for brunch and was slightly disappointed, The food was mediocre at best, coffee is terrible, and the clientele is... lets just typical downtown freaks. We were pleased witht the wait staff in that they were attentive to our... More

After eating at the King's Chef Diner for breakfast early in the trip, I had to go back again for the huge and delicious 'Breakfast Burrito' with green chili on top. The atmosphere at the larger Bijou Street location was bustling. The location on Castillo is a very cool old pre-fab 13-seat diner. Either location is recommended.

What a great place for an after wedding breakfast! We walked over from our hotel and were delighted to get a table within a few minutes. The food was excellent and plentiful. My leftovers were even great the next day. I highly recommend this trendy spot.

Don't know when I've had a more delicious or fun breakfast than we enjoyed at King's! Warning, you better be all kinds of hungry to eat there. Great service and the food is served HOT, just as it should be. Best hash browns I've ever had and there was a mountain of them. Perfectly cooked eggs and delicious, thick bacon... More
