Excellent meal for four adults. Possibly the best fried calamari we have ever eaten. They have a french bakery in house and the desserts and bread are worth a trip here alone. Noticed that nearly every table was ordering desserts after their meal. Fish and...chips were excellent with the fried cod flaky with a great taste. Atmosphere is modern but not overstated and the service was good. Reservations are a must as they were packed on a Wednesday night.More

What a find this place was! Delicious freshy prepared food and amazing pastries. Nice wine list and outstanding service. It is a free standing building in a strip mall. What an amazing surprise. It was packed for dinner and we could see why. Looking forward...to going back! Highly recommendMore

All we ordered was served fresh and made to perfection. I had the Greek salad which had all these peppers and delish olives, we also had the cheeseburger served in an artisan roll that tastes amazing. Great cheese, great dressings and great desserts. Their drinks...are also pretty varied and good. Service was the highlight of the visit and considering the food was delicious it’s a lot to say. From the host to the server everyone made sure our visit was pleasant.More

We stopped on our last day in Colorado Springs. We had lunch, which was average, not great but not bad. BUT, their dessert menu was AMAZING!! We had the strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, and raspberry chocolate mousse and all were fantastic. I wish were would have...gotten more to take home with us!More

We chose this restaurant because my daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday here. Our server was an older gentleman who seemed to have lost his patience. She ordered the lobster bisque and didn’t like it but didn’t send it back. I ordered a Cesar salad....I’ve never seen a Cesar salad have a tomato. Also I had to pay $3 extra for anchovies. I’ve never paid extra for anchovies. I asked the server, I believe his name was Glenn for an entree suggestion. He suggested the jambalaya pasta. It wasn’t to my liking but I wasn’t going to send it back. My daughter also ordered it but sent hers back. The server seemed irritated that she didn’t like it. We all have different palettes. She tried it and didn’t like it. My other daughter had the veal and really enjoyed it. The manager took the returned entree off and gave us complimentary carrot cake. I would consider giving this place another try on my next visit to Colorado Springs.More

This is a favorite of ours for date night, family dinners, special events with family/friends, or business lunches. Everything is good but do save room for dessert. Pro tip: if you come for lunch, grab a dessert to go from the case up front and...bring it home for your significant other.More

Joined some friends for dinner at Marigold Cafe & Bakery. Everything was going well until we requested separate checks - which the waiter, Glenn R. was more than happy to accommodate. From that point on, we rarely saw Glenn, our water glasses weren't filled and...when we did ask for something, he did so begrudgingly. At one point, I decided the French Onion Soup was something I wanted to take home, so I asked for a to-go container. He came to the table, explained that the lid didn't fit the container so he'd place the container in a plastic bag for me. He then proceeded to pour my soup towards me (rather than away from my clothing) right there at the table! It was splattering all over. I moved my chair so my clothes would be missed. Then, rather than take time to ensure that the container did not spill, he proceeded to place the container, with the lid that didn't fit, into the bag, where he spilled a good amount into the bag. Very nice. He was rude to the people in our party (although not at first, it was as if we'd offended him in some way). Then, when we received our bills, he indicated that he'd already added the gratuity to each of our statements. Sure enough - 20% had been added - despite the fact that his service was sub-par. Because we were among friends, I said nothing and paid the bill, but after we left, we all agreed that his performance changed once he realized he was guaranteed a 20% tip from each of us! Long story - the food doesn't live up to the reviews on Trip Advisor. I'd never been before this evening, hoping for a great experience, but they lost me as a customer.More

While not formal, this restaurant is a great spot for a nicer day out or a date night, what with its classy ambience, service, and presentation. Everything I had was delicious, especially dessert. Do not forget to save room for something from the bakery case!...You can also walk up to order from the case without dining in, if you only want to pick up a treat. Prices felt reasonable for the quality.More

Baked goods are the finest in Colorado Springs but the food is mediocre and overpriced. Chocolate cake is worth going there for.

Could have KILLED my child with an allergy. When we first visited the restaurant in the June 2021 and inquired if their cakes and pastries were nut-free, an associate informed us that some of their cakes are prepared and kept nut -free, and staff are...aware and practiced appropriate cross contamination procedures. We believed this. In November 2021, we ordered a variety of cake and pastry samples after we indicated that we have a family member with a severe nut allergy. The person serving us acknowledged our notification by stating “thank you for letting me know of your severe nut allergy need”--all indicators of awareness seemed right. At home my child ate one of the pieces and had a severe reaction that required emergency assistance at a time that emergency rooms are full due to COVID—my child could have died. The cheesecake had walnuts in the crust. After the ordeal was over, I reached out to the restaurant two times to alert them that their practices are not safe. I spoke with two different associates. Both promised a manager or owner would call me back. It is now January, and I yet have to hear back. Irresponsible. Could have KILLED my child. You might not have a allergy like my child, but do you want to take your business to a place that values life so little?More

I was in the mood for dessert so I decided to try the Marigold Café & Bakery, I was not disappointed. The hardest decision I had was which items to choose out from the amazing display of baked items. I ordered several dessert items and...they were all delicious. My personal favorite was the Frasier, which is a cross between a strawberry shortcake and a white cake. The staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. I will definitely go back for dessert, also I will try their normal dining menu. If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely the place to go.More

Don't know if they deliver, but would definitely recommend their delicious bakery goods. Recommend calling Marigold to ask if they deliver.
