Something fun! Really cool restaurant with good service and a variety on the menu. Dessert came in for the win with delicious warm brownie Sunday and mud pie!

This restaurant is so interesting. I'm not sure but it looks like they landed an airplane and then enclosed it to make a restaurant. Part of the engine(?) was next to us. A propeller was across the room. A wing ran across the top of...our room. The place is filled with aeronautical pictures, models, plaques, newspaper clippings, etc. You can eat in the actual plane but I think reservations for that are a must. Otherwise very friendly staff, good food and terrific atmosphere. It does appear to close early so check hours for dinner. Varied menu.More

Really like this place! What a cool and unique atmosphere. What a great waitress we had. What great chicken nachos I had. What an undercooked buffalo burger my son had (uh-oh). Also not-so-great, the sweetness of my iced tea was, and I mean this literally,...sugar-saturated. I thought Texas-BBQ-joint sweet tea was sweet; double that and you'll be close to imagining what this tea tasted like. Still, the positives won the day, and I do look forward to going back.More

Our kids really wanted to come and eat in the airplane. The ambiance was really cool and the front end staff were fantastic. Our server was nice but we had to ask about refills. The food isn't anything special however.

They currently only offer reservations to groups of 10 or more. We arrived around 6 pm on a Friday evening and were fortunate to get a seat in the actual KC-97 airplane. We did have to walk up a flight of 16 stairs to reach...the plane. The entire staff were dressed as stewardesses and stewards and would refer to us as passengers and “being on a flight”. Our bar drink orders were slow to be delivered (when we left we stopped into their bar and did not see a bartender present). We enjoyed our 6 piece barrel roll appetizer($12.99) - a tasty blend of chicken, rice, pepper-jack cheese, and cilantro in a crispy fried wrap. My wife enjoyed the guacamole-ranch dip that was served with it. I asked for a side of salsa to enhanced the rolls - but noticed I was charged $1 for it! We then split a buffalo steak for $26.99 (nicely prepared at medium-rare) with veggies (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower mix), choice of potato and soup/salad. The steak was very tender except for a few bites that were difficult to chew. Overall, a very enjoyable dinner.More

The environment, service and food was exceptional! Loved eating in the airplane without having turbulence! Lol!

Well, after visiting the Colorado Springs World War 2 Aviation museum, we went to eat at the Airplane Restaurant. It’s really cool. There is a real Retired KC 97 refueling attached to the restaurant, which you can actually eat in. There is a lot of...aviation memorabilia inside the restaurant it’s really cool. The food was also very good. I had the BBQ Bomber Burger with fries. The fries were more like chips. They were great and so was my burger. We ended with with a piece of Snickers cheese cake. Awesome! The wait staff and the owner were great. The restaurant is practicing great social distancing. I would recommend it.More

With COVID, getting a seat in the actual airplane was a little harder than usual, but we made reservations early in the morning and accomplished our goal. Since so much of the plane had to remain sectioned off for social distancing, we waited longer than...expected, but the waitress unnecessarily "apologized" with an appetizer on the house. Our food was good. The outfits worn by the staff help to complete the uniqueness of eating on a plane. We even had the owner check in on us. Had we not eaten in the plane, the rest of the restaurant was just as interesting. I hope people will support this place - the people there are awesome folks.More

The resturant was neatly decorated. The menu was in a shape of a newspaper with fun facts. The food was great. You should call ahead if you want to eat inside the plane area.

I ate here for lunch before my flight. Great place for fans of aviation. Relics of aviation are everywhere. The tables even have sectional charts on them. I had the 1/2 club sandwich and salad. The sand which was good and the salad was fresh....I will return when I’m backMore
