We were visiting CS from KC and took a chance on Pizzeria Rustica against my wishes because I'm tired of bad pizza and I don't go for modern pizzas with pineapple and cauliflower and goat cheese and no tomato sauce. Anyway, Judy and I got...a normal old-fashioned cheese pizza with sausage on one half and extra sauce. This was the best pizza I have had in years mainly because the sauce was flavorful and freshly made and did not come out of a can. (Well, the cheese and crust were really good also.) In addition, the ambience on the patio was great and the service was outstanding. After that first visit, I wanted to eat there every day, but Judy wouldn't hear of it, so we ate there one other evening and were going to have lunch there on our last day, but they were closed. If you are in CS don't miss this place!More

We were looking for a place to eat dinner. Tried a couple of restaurants .one was a 2 hour wait and the other change names and wasn't what we were looking for. Then we found pr and ate on the inside as outside was crowded....The salad was amazing along with the pizza we order. Get place to eat.More

Food and service was amazing! We had eight people in our party and everybody really enjoyed! There were not any complaints from our family. This is definitely a spot to check out.

Jenna was an amazing server. She knew everything about everything pizza, salad and drinks. The pizza was amazing! She made a lemon lemonchello martini that was tasty.

We had such a craving for pizza which led us here to the old section of Colorado Springs and to this restaurant. The building is repurposed and is an old half-way house which I thought was quite cool. The ambience inside is amazing and it...is a fitting setting for such amazing pizza. I ordered the Rustica while my g/f had their white pizza. They were both done in record time and came out fresh and hot from the oven. They were simply some of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. The crust was light and flaky with a wonderful smoky flavor to it. They weren't swimming in toppings at all and just fantastic! The next time we are back in town it will be hard to go here just once.More

Wow! By far the best meal on our two week vacation! If you’re looking for good, authentic Italian with top quality ingredients and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a great bottle of wine and an evening with family and friends just go! I have a...gluten sensitivity, I get severe migraines… But because this flour is flown in from Italy making it top-quality I was able to eat regular pizza for the first time in seven years with no headaches! Just wish we lived closer! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. And service was fast.More

Visiting Colorado Springs and wanting good pizza, I spent at least 20 min. online comparing pizza places. I finally chose Pizzeria Rustica and was thrilled I did. Thin crust , stone-fired pizza and it was great. The crust was thin but just thick enough to...give a flavor that was delightful. I found folding the crust while eating worked best for me. The ingrediants were fresh and flavorful. They also served small servings of 2 sauces that added even more flavor. Our server was soo very pleasant and helpful as well. Next trip this is on the list of places to eat. Very good selection of beer and wine as well.More

The actual restaurant has a very cheap feeling with plastic table clothes. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. I wanted to love the pizza but it was just lacking any real flavor. It was very bland almost like we were eating what I...believe a nursing home would serve. I ate my entire pizza but for the price, I was expecting higher quality. Would I eat here again, maybe I’d give it a second chance.More

The service was personable, the ambiance was warm and comfortable, the pizzas were light and flavorful. My daughter has a peanut allergy and they were able to give her confidence that they could safely accommodate her.

My 12yo daughter and I were in Co Sp for a couple of nights on vacation and wanted to try this place as it had great reviews and she wanted pizza. I called ahead to see if reservations were necessary as I didn’t see anything...on their website that mentioned reservations and was told that no, reservations were not necessary although if we got there around 6 it might be a short wait. No worries, we weren’t on a schedule. We arrived shortly after calling and when we entered were asked if we had a reservation. I told the snotty young lady with the bull nose ring that we had just called 15 min ago and asked about reservations and were told that we didn’t need them but we might have a short wait. I was told (with much attitude and rudeness from Bull nose ring) “well, I always tell people that reservations are strongly recommended. Who did you speak to on the phone?” I told her I couldn’t recall who I had spoken with and she replied again with much snottiness and attitude that she would NEVER tell anyone that they didn’t need a reservation as they are STRONGLY recommended. (However, NOT required, apparently.) She went on some more about a trainee probably answering the phone and how she would NEVER tell anyone that…blah blah blah. I just stood there without speaking and waited to find out whether we’d be allowed to eat at Bull nose ring’s hallowed establishment while she rudely blathered on. As we stood there, she then (in full earshot of us) asked another young lady (who was very sweet) if they “had room for two people to sit outside” (which we’d requested). The other young lady seemed very willing to accommodate us and immediately found us a spot. Bull nose ring then went on some more about reservations and how she would NEVER tell anyone that they shouldn’t make a reservation as we were walking away, following the other young woman to our table. So, as a first impression and being made to feel welcome, I would say Bull nose ring did an INCREDIBLY POOR job. I felt completely unwelcome the whole time we were there—like we were intruding and weren’t welcome. As we were there for less than an hour (food came VERY quickly), there were multiple tables both inside and out that were open the whole time we were there, so not sure what Bull nose ring’s major malfunction was. She may just need some more training herself on social graces and how to make people feel welcome. First impressions are important and she did a horrible job. However, from there on, things were much better. Ana (or Anna) was our server and she was PHENOMENAL. Absolutely attentive and super sweet. The food (we got the antipasto plate and salsicca(?) pizza) was delicious and it came SO quickly! It was just the right amount of food for the two of us and my daughter loved it. As a welcoming establishment, I would rate this as a 1 star. Hopefully Bull nose ring gets the training she needs so that our experience is not anyone else’s experience. Based on the food and Ana/Anna, I would give it 6 stars.More

Such a fun and relaxing dinner in Old Colorado City. Nice selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices. We ordered 3 pizzas for the 4 of us and had a few pieces left over. Pizzas were served with a hot chili oil and garlic...truffle oil. Both were great for dipping the crust. Pizzas were unique and delicious! For dessert we had the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and vanilla gelato and the raspberry sorbet, both excellent! Our server simply could not have been nicer and the service was top notch! Additionally, we were seated in the courtyard and I loved the fact that they brought a bowl of water for the dog of the woman at the next table. We would definitely make a return trip if we are in the area again.More
