The bartender, Chuy is the best! His "Mexican Water" and jokes are worth the drive! Personal, friendly, and funny! The salsa/chips are good. Love the fajitas, but not so crazy about the Carne Asada. Burritos are HUGE and delicious. 2 thumbs up!!!

We go here a lot. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in South Denver and Castle Rock area. Every meal comes with three salsas, bean dip and chips which each have very unique flavors. The guacamole is excellent. They have a large selection on the Menu enough to satisfy anybody. I really like the soft chile rellenos (also crispy) and... More

Not spectacular, very hot and the indoor seats were torn. We asked to sit outside which was much nicer. Our greeter looked like a young kid and was not very friendly, just kinda led us to our table. Food was pretty good but not extraordinary.

The location is nice and the establishment looks well kept and new, but overall lack luster service plus we got a little something extra in the salsa we had almost finished...a lovely fly! We brought it to the attention to the server who basically laughed it off and said he would bring new salsa. We said no thanks. I tried... More

We stopped into A Taste of Mexico for a snack and enjoyed most everything we tried. Chips come out right away with three different salsas - a mildly spicy tomatillo, a roasted chile salsa, pico de gallo that had a nice, unique flavor (roasted tomato?), plus bean dip, so a nice upgrade from the get go. We tried beef flautas... More

We've been a handful of times and always have a great meal. They start by bringing complimentary chips and bean dip along with three housemade salsas. Love the spinach enchiladas which are way more tasty than their name emplies. My husband really liked their mole sauce on his chicken enchiladas. Everything we've had has been very good, with the only... More

There aren't a lot of really good Mexican places in Castle Rock. This one has always been our favorite. The food is consistently good, the ambience is fine, and as others have pointed out, the house special marg is really something. Spoils you for just about anything else. Sadly, the last couple of times I've brought people there I've been... More

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have always enjoyed something good there. I went this past Friday expecting a similar outcome. This was definitely not the case. The service was fair but the food didn't even meet the standard to be called mediocre. From the chips and salsas and mahi mahi tacos everything was very bland and... More

Stopped in at 7:30 pm on a Friday evening, crowd was thinning out and we were seated within the 15 wait time quoted. Great chips served with bean dip and salsas, but after waiting 40+ minutes for a Señora Enchilada and Mole Carnitas without any word from the waiter on the reason for the long delay, we just gave up...
