When passing thru Carbondale one should not miss the opportunity to eat breakfast at this special place. From the specials of the day to the eggs Benedict to the eggs florentine to the wait staff and the friendliness of the local patrons this place has it.

Red Rock Diner has the advantage of a terrific location on Highway 133 near the intersection of Highway 82 (the Aspen highway) in Carbondale. I am happy to report they justify their conspicuous location with food a clear cut above what one usually thinks of as diner fare. Obvious effort to use quality ingredients is reflected in their food offerings.... More

The diner was open on the 4th. My family all had burgers and I had the chili. The food was great but even more so the service was awesome!!

Food was just average and the service is small town chit chat which makes getting your food a long drawn out process. It seems some staff are just too good to help out but they are more than happy to fill you in on their personal lives and dramas as they stand by doing nothing!

Really fun atmosphere for a weekend breakfast. Service was a little bit slow, but portions were huge and tasty! Some of my favorite hashbrowns (super crispy and crunchy, delicious) and the omelettes are almost big enough for two meals on their own. Veggies were fresh and tasty. A fun, casual breakfast!

Not so good, staff were nice, wait was long for food. Elk burger was overcooked. Husband's fish & chips also overcooked. Didn't send back as we waited so long to begin with. Will not return.

Easy access close to the highway. Typical diner fair with 50's style decor. Inexpensive, clean, with friendly staff. Beer selection limited considering what state we live in, but could get a decent brew in a can.

Diner food, good grub, Burgers shakes and blue plate specials for lunch or dinner. Diner atmosphere good place to take the kids and family. Booth seating and plenty of parking. Close to highway 82, ao you don'thave to go into downtown Carbondale.

The new owners have really cleaned up the place! Not that it was dirty before but there is now a new sparkle to it. Other then that it's still the same good and casual food. Surprised to see all the families and young kids on my last visit.

We needed a nearby location to our hotel that we could just walk to for dinner. This was one of the recommendations made by the staff at the hotel desk. It was a short walk, and really worthwhile. Meal was good, a substantial crowd and price was right. I would recommend it for a good, not so pricey dinner. Service... More

It is a great little diner, listed under Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, CO. We stopped in there on the way to Salida from Vernal UT.
