The food was excellent. They had a huge selection on the menu. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The ambiance was wonderful. It was a really cosy personal place. I would highly recommend it. Anne Kelly

Vacationing in Buena Vista one weekend. Decided to dine at the cozy/quaint restaurant called Casa Del Sol, located on Hwy 24 in Buena Vista. Horrible experience, weird, quirky & the worst $50 we've spent in our 2 week holiday in Colorado.

Was pleasantly surprised with the food quality after reading several not so great reviews. We thought our meal was better than many Mexican restaurants where we have eaten. The salsa was the way I like it. Chips were store bought but tasted good. My chille relleno was the best I have ever eaten. The guacamole was also excellent. Several people... More

Very comfortable place to have a meal. The dining area inside is broken up so that ever table seems somewhat private. We were there on a nice day so decided to eat on the patio. Unlike many restaurants it is behind the building and so the noise and smell of the street doesn't intrude, a very calm, pleasant place to... More

This place used to be great but it has gone seriously downhill. We were there at 7:30 and the only people in the place - so I guess we're the last to figure out there are better place to eat in Buena Vista. Our waitress was three sheets to the wind and could barely carry our food out without spilling... More

This is a restaurant that has a great deal of potential. They already have the most important thing for a restaurant to have, good food. And the owner seems to really enjoy operating her restaurant and have a good rapport with her clientele. But none of that is apparent from the outside. We were in the mood for Mexican food,... More

I live in Buena Vista and eat here frequently. The sauces remind me of food I had in Mexico City. The servers are very friendly and try to accommodate special diets. The margauritas are killer and wonderful to enjoy on the lovely patio. Love the mole dishes and the pechuga.

I'm very surprised that there are negative comments about this place! My wife and I really enjoyed eating here. We were served by the owner (can't remember her name), who was very friendly. The decor was really cute, and even had a nice little courtyard to dine in. They had good food at a reasonable price, and even made killer... More
