In a word..."incroyable"! Our group of four stumbled across this little place at the top of Main Street and pretty much never went anywhere else for pastry, breakfast, lunch and coffee. Cozy, friendly, and delicious. Became happily acquainted with the trois belles filles we met: friendly French owner (Isabelle), her wonderful daughter (Margot), and not-French, but quite delightful Maryam. Isabelle says they bought the place last November from an owner who successfully ran it as a French cafe for twenty-something years. The previous cuisine was so popular that Isabelle and Margot have continued with the same fare, but plan to experiment with new items in the summer. Isabelle comes from the south of France, and the ambience feels like stepping off the slopes into a St. Tropez cafe. Everything fresh & homemade. Couldn't get enough of the almond croissants, crepes (savory & sweet), the omelettes, and the coffee. Would have tried a lot more if our vacation were longer and our bellies bigger. Seriously worth the visit!

We last visited this establishment 15 years ago and it was a pity that we only found it on our last day.
So for this visit we made it a regular place to buy scrumptious French breads and pastries - to take away or eat in with a drink. And late in the afternoon you can pick up some pastries for half price - bargain! I only wish I could have taken this delicious bread home to the UK with me ...... thankyou!

We got afternoon snacks on our recent trip to Breckenridge. I got the dark chocolate raspberry mousse and my husband got a pain au chocolat. We both really liked our treats. The chocolate mousse is inside a chocolate shell and had a raspberry on top. The pain au chocolat wasn't overly sweet and suitable for someone who likes a bit of chocolate. Would definitely stop and get a treat here, next time we are in Breckenridge.
COVID-19 notes for those who are interested. They asked people from different groups to stay 6 feet apart. And politely repeated the request, when the other group crossed with us to look at the cases. Everyone had masks. The bakery was very clean. While they did offer seating, we took our treats to go. They carefully packed the treats up and offered plastic ware. The treats did fine on the short walk back to our room.

The ad I saw, said: “step out of the streets of Breckenridge and into the South of France”. And it was true. Once we found La Francaise (it’s hiding on the lower level of a small commercial strip), we felt we were in the South of France, except that service was much friendlier and more efficient than in France. The familiar sweet aroma of sugar, vanilla and butter surrounds you, the freshly baked pastries and baguettes grab your eyes and you hurry to grab one of the lovely marble-covered cast-iron tables along the walls and by the windows. Coffee is very very good and all the pastries are delicious. My only problem was “l’embarras du choix”, as the French say, “the difficulty to choose”, there was so much more than my stomach could accommodate for one breakfast….

Stuck in our hotel with limited breakfast choices during a whiteout snow storm, we trudged a few blocks to this delightful bakery and cafe on Main Street. These folks take French pastry and coffee seriously. Good value for the high quality. We enjoyed the omelette baked into a croissant and took a few pastries back to the hotel to enjoy the next day.

We were in Breckenridge for a long weekend and stumbled upon this little gem. There was a little line so we knew it had to be worth waiting for, and it was! Our kids were a big fan of the crepes, both the sugary and savory ones were divine, and the breakfast sandwich on a baguette, kept me satisfied until dinner. Inside seating was always full but there was plenty of seating outside on the patio next to the creek. The service was friendly and attentive and they even recognized us the second morning. The croissants and bread were delicious and the coffee was made to order. The second and third mornings we took macarons for dessert and they did not disappoint. Loved our experience here!

This review is for the restaurant, not the bakery. We had the very fortunate opportunity to eat at the French restaurant for dinner with two very dear friends.
The setting is very intimate and charming. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The food - omg, words aren’t good enough!!!! The beef bourguignon had notes of cloves which were so interestingly different and highlighted the meat wonderfully. The duck and sausage were so savory with hints of cumin throughout and had us scraping the bowl! The goat cheese beet salad and the bone marrow appetizer was perfectly executed as well. We ended the night with four desserts that were spot on!

From the crepes to the bread and pastries coming out of the oven - everything looked and smelled delicious. I wish I had come before eating lunch. I stopped in for an almond croissant and it was pretty much life changing! If you're reading this, and you love almond croissants, you MUST STOP HERE! Bravo! Will definitely return to eat...all of the other things they offer.

Don't let a line stop you from going to La Francaise. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! We had breakfast there three times during our four day stay. The almond croissant and the apple croissant are amazingly delicious. Also fantastic are the paninis, omelet that comes in a croissant, and the crepes - we had sweet and savory both were very yummy! The icing on the cake (or pastry) is the very friendly staff. Even when they're busy as busy can be, they never rush the customer and have service with a smile. There are tables inside, and if you go out the back door there's a nice outdoor seating area. Just don't make the mistake of sitting at the tables that are reserved for customers of the next door restaurant, The Lost Cajun.

OMG! Amazing bakery. Our group ordered six items and shared. Everything was exquisite! The almond croissants are crowd pleasers as is the peach croissant. Even the plain baguette was wonderful. Fantastic place for breakfast!

We spent two days in town. Choosing places to eat on TA I am seldom wrong. But I was this time.
First of all this is NOT a French bakery. It's an American! bakery trying to pretend what it is not.
The employee was really impatient when I was trying to choose my pastries.Keep asking: what do you want?
Then she showed all 4 into 1 brown bag while the other lady was asking me for payment. There were NO customers at that point, just me.
Second and main-they did NOT taste French or made from scratch.I have an impression they are baked with ready-made phyllo dough.
I went to my hotel across the street, made coffee and anticipated a treat,as croissant looked really good. No, it was very ordinary. The only good one was palmier, crispy as you expect.
You want to try real French pastry- drive to FtCollins, where a French chef is baking using the real butter and you feel they are authentic and super tasty.
We've travelled to France, so I can tell the difference.
Never again.

We thought this was a GREAT lunch stop on our trip! We loved the warm sandwiches and extremely friendly owners/employees! We could tell the ingredients were really high quality and fresh. And they happily accommodated our special requests. It was great to take a ski break and eat outside on their patio. Such a great stop, we went back more than once!

Sunday morning I walked over to pick up some pastries for breakfast. The glass case was loaded with delectables. There was a particular peach pastry that I wanted and the customer in line before me selected. I was disappointed, but the staff replaced the tray with more. I also ordered a large raisin pastry. All were fantastic.
I returned the next morning and found the place closed for a week-bummer.

Ate breakfast here during our recent visit to Breckenridge and we were in for a pleasant treat! The food is delicious, well prepared, hearty proportions and great service. The coffee was wonderful.
We had La Raclette (a buckwheat flour crepe filled with raclette cheese, steamed potatoes and pickles, mushroom quiche and mushroom spinach and goat cheese omelet served on a huge croissant. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing. We found out that the whole place is run by French people so the food is very authentic.

The staff at Relish restaurant recommended that we visit this bakery.
It reminded me of my visit to France and the Bakeries.
They have a variety of breads and desserts.
Margaux, owner if the bakery takes pride if her product and bakery. Every is fresh and tasteful. You go for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed.
