The beautiful scenery, the historic little town and the old log buildings are worth the drive; a most unique experience. The six course menu sounded great, but the offerings varied considerably in quality. The salad was outstanding with the creative addition of jicama and raw beets. The cold melon soup was delightful and the chocolate dessert was amazing. However, the... More

Twenty-one friends went for a Thursday dinner at the Gold Hill Inn. We took the Inn’s strong advice to only use the Sunshine Canyon route from Boulder to Gold Hill. This mostly hard-surfaced road takes you through some fine views of mountains, meadows and tall trees. The historic former mining camp of Gold Hill sits at an elevation of 8300... More

A long ride up the. Mountain with dirt road and hairpin turns brings you to a rustic mining town. In a log cabin you will find outstanding food (fixed price for 3 or 6 courses). Served by family members - had a great salad, homemade bread,a steak to rival any I've eaten and the best chocolate torte! All for $29! Call... More

What a beautiful view as you drive up and back from the Gold Hill Inn! You're not moving very quickly : ) so you have plenty of time to enjoy the views and stop to take some gorgeous photos. The people at the Inn are delightful - very friendly and service was good. The meal was okay - one of... More

This was my second visit to the Gold Hill Inn and I enjoyed it just as much as I did 4 years ago. As it was a special occasion my brother and I opted for the 6 course meal and it did not disappoint and you can't beat the price. The half avocado with marlin was a refreshing starter, followed... Went here for Mothers Day buffet with my granddaughter. We had the last seating of the afternoon which may have something to do with my disappointment but they assured us the buffet would be plentiful as they kept everything up between the afternoon and evening seatings. (2 hours) We were served appetizers, salads and dessert at our table and the... More

Dine in a log building that dates back several decades. The drive up to the Inn offers spectacular views. The food is delicious and seasonal. We tend to make an annual trip every October for beautiful Fall views and sometimes early snow.

I have been going to the Gold Hill In since the 1970s. The quality and service are exceptional. The family recipes are delicious. I would recommend it without reservation for a wonderful evening. Often there is entertainment so guests can stay after dinner to hear live music. Brian and Chris are two of the children of the founders and take... More

This place is a Boulder institution. Very cool log cabin vibe, great place to have a beer and hear some live music. The restaurant, though, is highly overrated. It's a fixed menu, and you can choose either 3 or 6 courses. 3 would be enough, not because of the quantity, but because it's just nothing special. Not bad, just not... More

The Gold Hill Inn is a place that is set back in time, the town was one of the first gold mining towns in Colorado. The Inn takes you back to the 1800's when this town was born . The drive up to the Inn is worth the time, the views are priceless . Next , the food is in... More
