We ate at Greenbriar for the 1st time in many years in July, 2020. We had reservations and it took a while to get seated. We noticed that they had walk-ins who were being squeezed into seating, too :( Staff were in masks as were...diners if inside and before getting food. There was not 6' between our chairs and other seated diners. It took awhile to get our food, and we saw other meals coming out. When our meals arrived, the portions were tiny compared to meals that had come out previously with ingredients missing. When we commented on it, we were brought some but not all missing parts (!!) But the horrible thing we noticed was almost zero cleaning between guests at the outdoor seating. One table was washed In One TINY Area where something had been spilled. No chairs were wiped down, there was no cleaning of table surfaces. We ate as fast as we could and motioned for bill before we were even done. We could not get out of there fast enough. I emailed the restaurant and even after a month, have heard nothing. I hope they have instituted better COVID practices. We will never eat at this restaurant again.More

We had not been to the Greenbriar in years. It’ll be longer than that in the future unless we start seeing an awful lot of great reviews. It’s a very pricy place and we expected so much more. The duck was so fatty and absolutely...tasteless. I thought fat made stuff tasty. The menu choices need much improvement. The. Beef Wellington was good.More

We love Greenbriar Inn when the weather is good and we can eat outside. Went for anniversary last Saturday night. Table outside. I had the salmon. Wife had the duck breast. Both excellent. Good wine selection by the glass. Strawberry rhubarb galette was excellent. They...say it’s for two. Big for two but we ate it. Glad they are open again.More

This has always been on of our favorites for that special occasion. While my favorite dishes have always been their Lamb, I’ve need had a bad meal here. While most of the time their services in the the excellent range the only time it wasn’t...was on special days like Valentines Day. Greenbrier is a popular place and it can get crowded but it seems days like this the service lacks. Too noisy, Limited Menu and at time the level of service drops and in my opinion this can make or break the event!! That is why I we always go either before or after that special day. We went with friends the day after Valentines Day and everything was perfect! The meal the service and the friends. No Lamb today but the Fish and Pork loin dishes were excellent. Still have not tried their Sunday Brunch, so I need to do that!!!More

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here and had a delightful evening highlighted by wonderful service from the minute we walked in the door. The kitchen sent out a delicious pate to get us started and we followed that up with their charcuterie board,...which featured a lovely cheese and meat selection. We both ordered the beef wellington which practically melted in our mouths, We skipped dessert because we were too full, but I will definitely save room next time. I highly recommend this for a special night out.More

Great venue, location, ambiance and service but food was disappointing. It used to be so much better.

This is a popular restaurant, and I had made our reservations over a month in advance. We were promptly seated, but in the upstairs dining room which has its own buffet tables which they said have the same selections as the main dining room. We...had never been in this area before, always the main dining room. Everything looked good, and our waiter was very polite and attentive. I think my disappointment was in the food itself, just not up to the standard I expected from the Greenbriar. The starter table was good, Caesar salad, shrimp, cold cuts and a nice selection of cheese and bread. No fresh fruit or fruit salad which would have been nice. After eating our starters, we went back for the hot dishes. Except they weren't hot anymore and several were empty. There was a green bean casserole (watery canned beans), sweet potatos(ok), rice pilaf(ok but lumpy), stuffing and several other sides. Trouble was, they were all rather cold, the mashed potato container was empty as was the salmon. The meats were good, a prime rib roast and roasted turkey. Gravy was almost gone. It was evening, and they had been going all day, maybe staff was tired and just gave up on the food and its presentation. At a high end buffet like this, the staff should not let the containers get cold, or empty while so many customers are there for an expensive holiday dinner. I'm not sure how things were in the main dining room, but hopefully it was better than the upstairs room. We have come to the Greenbriar in the past for their brunch buffets and we're always impressed with the abundance of delicious selections. I guess that's why I was disappointed in this Thanksgiving buffet, it just seemed a little skimpy from what I was expecting and for the price.More

Charming inn well off the beaten path...extensive wine menu, and a number of very good craft beers as well, all capped by excellent food. Very attentive wait staff.

The buffet was bar...none, the food served in a lovely setting and all delicious. Always a treat ! ,More
