Our family of six were all able to find something super yummy, and the service was great. The owner checked in on us a few times which shows how much care is taken to provide excellent service and a great experience. Small, intimate atmosphere but...it was quaint and we really enjoyed it.More
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Boulder. We had dinner here on Friday evening The three of us all had a different dish and all were excellent. Deserts were also very good. Will definitely be back here when visiting Boulder
Come here for the good northern italian food (not the service). Unfortunately, the meatballs leave much to be desired as they're barely seasoned and actually tasted like just boiled beef. I would pay twice the price for a decent meatball but wouldn't take these again...if they were free. Apparently, the bread is different since Covid shutdown.
The lasagna is excellent and the spaghetti bolognese is my favorite. Definitely make sure you get the mousse and regardless of the level of service, tip the guy twice as much as things have been hard on restaurants.More
Il Pastaio is a very small (seats about 25, mostly at high-tops for two) place but pretty cool, too. It is located in a shopping mall next to the King Sooper, just east of thirtieth street. Easy to overlook, but very convenient once you know...where it is. Easy parking, too. There is no waiter service; you order sorta cafeteria style. The food is good and the people are friendly and helpful. There is a nice lunch (entree, salad, side dish and bread) for $13. The pasta is the thing to order here. Pasta and sauces also available for take out. Nice place for a quick and pretty inexpensive mealor a quick and (byfor afor a quick, prettyMore
Home made pasta, home made sauces, desers to die for. This restaurant has been in the same place for more than 20 years and the quality of the food (and) the service has always been top notch! It is small so make sure you make...reservations!More
One of the things I always try when a visit a new Italian restaurant is preferably veal but if not available chicken Parmesan. So this little place had the best chicken parm I've had. Kind of surprising because I've been to some pretty famous and...great Italian restaurants all over the country. The chicken was pounded out very consistently thin, the coating was the same. The red sauce was excellent and the pasta was homemade and done just right. I can't remember the waiters name but he was a young blond kind with great hair and he did a great job.More
