This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in Boulder. We have been coming here for about 15 years and never tire of the excellent sushi, incredible sake and outstanding service. Although I love sitting outside on a warm summer night, the sushi bar is my second favorite place. It's intimate for a date and fun for friends. All of... More

We ate here one night with an outdoor table. The service was wonderful. No rushing you. Relaxed and fun atmosphere. Great Sushi. Reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the freshness and selections. I'm very picky about Sushi and this was truly excellent. Fun people watching on the Mall. I will definitely be back!

Right on the Pearl Street mall, can eat inside or outside. Can order specific sushi or bowls. Tables for two inside are very close together so difficult to have a private conversation. Service was timely. The combination bowl is a hoody choice to try two different preparations. The sunomono salad had way too much cucumber and not much shrimp. Would... More

This place doesn't take itself too seriously. So kids feel welcome. The kids menu has varied options. There is a standard and specials menu, we ordered some from each and enjoyed them all. We walked in on a Sunday without a problem. The lunch specials are quite affordable (see the three hand rolls photo).

We were visiting Pearl Street from out of town and decided to give Hapa a try for lunch. The service was attentive and the restaurant was clean. They have a nice selection of items on the menu. We tried a couple appetizers and an assortment of sushi/sashimi. We had the shrimp shumai pan seared which were excellent. Our other items... More

Never disappointing, Hapa offers a very welcoming dining experience for the whole family. The staff are attentive, and the service quick although one never feels rushed while enjoying a meal. Comfortable seating, and very pleasant decor.

The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope that you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.
