We were visiting Pearl Street from out of town and decided to give Hapa a try for lunch. The service was attentive and the restaurant was clean. They have a nice selection of items on the menu. We tried a couple appetizers and an assortment of sushi/sashimi. We had the shrimp shumai pan seared which were excellent. Our other items... More

Never disappointing, Hapa offers a very welcoming dining experience for the whole family. The staff are attentive, and the service quick although one never feels rushed while enjoying a meal. Comfortable seating, and very pleasant decor.

Really efficient, friendly service, reasonable prices and inventive flavors. Besides the traditional sushi roles, we enjoyed the "Spawn of Satan" special role and the spicy edamame appetizer.

We live in Boulder and go to the Hapa happy hour quite often. check the website for hours as this is a late night happy hour and not offered every night. they are also open later on the weekend. I don't believe they offer it on Sundays at all. You can go in here an eat like a horse for... More

Took a visit to Boulder with my daughter and met my friends son for lunch. He recommended Hapa Sushi. Since he and my daughter like sushi a lot I was for it ( I'm not a sushi fan). It turned out not to be a bad place. I enjoyed the sushi ordered and so did the kids. Was a nice... More

Boulder is now loaded with sushi spots and Hapa is one of the better stops. They roll out a solid late night happy hour with good drinks, sushi and appetizer options. Definitely can experience a full house on peak nights. Take out, if in town for business, is also a great option.

Popular restaurant on the Mall, offering a range of Japanese and Hawaiian-influenced dishes, all more or less familiar and unthreatening to novices. A wide range of sushi choices. The sushi tends to take a long time to arrive at the table. Not just long because it is being made fresh (you would hope that it is true in most sushi... More

Visited during Happy Hour, my first visit, Nigiri which is not part of normal happy hour was average at best, fish had been in the cooler for a while, could have been much fresher. Rice was not of crisp favor, could not nail down the issue, either stale or stored next to something. But overall no better than Nigiri available... More

The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope that you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.
