This is an excellent restaurant that my wife and i have been enjoying on our annual visit to Boulder for the past 15 years. We were there last week for our usual good dinner. Four of us shared one order of steak tartare and one order of tuna tartare for first courses. Both tartares were absolutely wonderful. We all picked... More

The owner was hot briefly in Denver twenty years ago. At one time he may have had Denver's best food. Now, he is just kind of a joke. The service is friendly at L'Atelier. Everything else is pretty much a disaster. The wine list is truly mediocre. Maybe when he resettles to Denver he will get his mojo back,

Interesting menu, delicious food and wine, very nice ambience, consistently excellent. Service can be a bit spotty. In my three trips to this restaurant that I find serves the best food in Boulder, my waiters have ranged from superb to verging on haughty.

I was in this restaurant several times and tried many different menu items. I liked everything that I tried very much. Their deserts are to die for!

We have dined in L'Atleier a few times in the past 2 years in Boulder & usually enjoyed the 'fine dining" experience & food. On this occasion it was without doubt the worst dining experience we have had in Boulder. We ordered champagne with our appetizer, a main & a bottle of wine. We did not see our waiter again... More

In the ever-changing Pearl St eatery landscape, L'Atelier has been a standout for over a decade. Hadn't been here in a few years (limited opportunities for eating out) and decided to enjoy it again this month. We had an attentive server, who upon noticing that our table seemed a bit cramped moved us to a more spacious location. All of... More

This is always one of our go to restaurants if we want to impress someone. It is an intimate quieter restaurant. The owners have an incredible wine selection. The food is always outstanding.

Made a reservation and asked for a table, not a booth. Twice the restaurant called, before we arrived, to change the time of our reservation because they said they would only have a table available at a certain time. We arrived at the restaurant's chosen time, and a curt and unwelcoming hostess led us directly to a booth, with neither... More

L'atelier is definitely at the top of my list when I'm in Boulder. As others have said, it isn't one of the trendy places in Boulder, which is blessed with many excellent restaurants. It is, however, one of the best meals - shall we say events? - in town, which is a statement not lightly made. The experience is modern,... More

Tucked away a few blocks east of the Pearl St. Mall, this restuarant doesn't offer the 'buzz' and loud trendy scene of many Boulder restaurants. Instead, depend on a quiet atmosphere, great service, an informed wine list and incredible food. Servers were helpful and attentive without hovering or snobby, and each dish was creative yet classic, with great taste. Desserts... More
