L'atelier is definitely at the top of my list when I'm in Boulder. As others have said, it isn't one of the trendy places in Boulder, which is blessed with many excellent restaurants. It is, however, one of the best meals - shall we say events? - in town, which is a statement not lightly made. The experience is modern,... More

Tucked away a few blocks east of the Pearl St. Mall, this restuarant doesn't offer the 'buzz' and loud trendy scene of many Boulder restaurants. Instead, depend on a quiet atmosphere, great service, an informed wine list and incredible food. Servers were helpful and attentive without hovering or snobby, and each dish was creative yet classic, with great taste. Desserts... More

Elegant setting. Extensive menu--primarily French. Extensive wine list. Service was correct, if a little inattentive. The food was absolute perfection.

My wife and I are Francophiles which helps our appreciation of this restaurant. It is not hard core French cuisine, but it does have a French flair. The food at this restaurant is consistently good - for fine dining.

Truly outstanding French food with a twist. Service was prompt and efficient ant the owner was present and very engaged. Mussels app was superb. Entrees though not huge by American standards were very appropriate and delicious. Lobster ravioli was sublime. Great drinks, lovely wine list and a true European flair. It is small and tables are very close together, again... More

The interior of the restaurant is nice. Dining on a Wednesday evening was basically quiet even with two large groups. My starter was escargot. But it came in an escargot dish with a small salad on top. What? And then once I got through the salad, there was a slathering of mashed potatoes. On escargot? Oh my goodness. And the... More

Tried L'Atelier for Easter brunch. Although it was quite busy, service was attentive and well paced. The asparagus soup was light and had a fresh taste. The ham and cheese omelette was overcooked and hard on the bottom, but the mix of ham cheese was perfect. The accompanying potatoes were strange in that they had a fishy taste as if... More

After reading other reviews, we went here for lunch on a Wednesday. Hard to park, but found a spot. Entrees are very reasonable for the quality. We had the pork saltimboca and the duck breast over greens. Both were excellent as was the lobster bisque. The Caesar sald was good - could have used a few more anchovies. I'll bet... More

In the year since I discovered L'Atelier, I've been four times. Most recently, a friend and I met there for lunch. She had pumpkin soup and salad and I had the shrimp with pasta. Both were obviously freshly prepared and the genuine flavors were pleasing and tasty. In the times I've eaten there, the chef has come to the table... More
