We arrived at the restaurant at around noon on a Sunday guessing we would have to wait and we did. What an interesting little restaurant. It is in an old house literally. We waited around 45 min and got a nice table on the porch outside. We had beignets (good), fresh squeezed OJ (very good) and 3 different breakfasts entrees.... More

Lucille's has been serving fantastic breakfasts for many years now. The restaurant occupies an old bungalow with a number of rooms and the veranda available for diners to occupy. This promotes an intimate ambiance that is the hallmark of Lucile's Every time we visit Boulder we always have at least one meal at Lucile's. There were six of us and... More

40 min wait on a Sunday was fine...we are accustomed to waiting for a really good restaurant without an advance reservation. When finally seated the service was attentive, though we were shorted one silverware setting. The food was delivered quickly...almost too quickly and "looked" fabulous. That is where things went downhill. The French toast arrived raw. Literally, several bites were... More

This is a fantastic restaurant nestled of the main streets of Boulder. The staff is incredible and so is the food. We did breakfast and will certainly be back for lunch. They do not take reservations but they do allow "call ahead" and since they are busy it's recommended. Enjoy and definitely have a beignet!!!

The food at Lucile's was grand and full of flavor. Thought was put into every detail, and the atmosphere was still very relaxed. And, the music was blues, blues, and magic.

I recently visited this highly-recommended gem on my first trip to Boulder and it lived up to all the hype. The New Orleans-inspired cuisine is delicious and ambiance matches to a T, right down to the beignets and chicory coffee. With such great food, there was a predictable wait to be seated, but the very friendly staff kept the line... More

Stopped for breakfast after we asked some walking police officers what was a great place for breakfast! Wow! They did not lead us astray! Lovely old home, well worn and loved...food was outstanding! Delicious and every item had a unique take on a classic! We ate on the porch, had great service, hot beignets, spicy sausage and a beautiful morning!... More

Funky little place -- in an old house -- with really tasty breakfast/brunch options. We had the eggs New Orleans (a variation on eggs Benedict, using perfectly crispy fried slices of eggplant instead of English muffins, topped with savory Creole sauce, with a side of grits) and the Cajun breakfast (poached eggs atop red beans cooked with lots of meat,... This place was fantastic. Unique, great service, great food, and reasonable. We had a large group of 21 and our server never missed a beat. I think between us all we had most of the items on the menu and all were great. I highly recommend the Cajun Mary (their version of the Bloody Mary) it is one of the... More
