We've driven by about a hundred times, but never stopped there till last month. We should have stopped sooner. Food was yummy, and the atmosphere is great. Service was great, and made us feel right at home. Huge selection of adult beverages. Great "mountain bar"...kind of atmosphere.More

Well, it's the only restaurant for miles. It's the only building for miles. Actually, gnawing the bark off of the trees is worth considering as an alternative. It's not the food, it's the service. It's not even just the service, it's that they're PROUD of...the crappy service. They do it on purpose. If you don't like it, get the F* out! OK, done.More

Roy and Barb keep this place spotless, The food is good and plentiful. There is a large deck for warm weather and dogs are welcome outside. Inside the decor is ecclectic, and it is a bit of a museum and art gallery. There are no...televisions in the corners, which is refreshing, and no wifi. Roy loves to greet patrons and give tours. When they are busy, especially in the summer, service can take awhile but it's a great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere.More

Pretty good atmosphere, but food is average, staff can be rude, and the owner is, well, erratic. Wouldn’t take much to make it great though.

The Last Shot bar is a great place to stop for drinks or food. The place is full of character and is very clean. I took a tour of the kitchen and you could do surgery on the kitchen floors and counter they are so...clean. The portions of food are huge. My wife is a vegetarian and the owner came out and asked her what types of food she liked and then made he a special breakfast plate, that she said was the best food she had ever eaten. As posted by others, the owner, Roy, is loud at times (not constantly), which is part of the charm of the place. If you are easily offended, this may not be the place for you. If you want to relax, listen to music and eat very large helpings of great food, go here. I highly recommend it.More

This place is great. It seemed very welcoming to both the “regulars” and those who were first time visitors. Roy is a hidden gem (I understand he is “in house” at 2:30 AM to ensure that the menu is fresh and ready!

Pizza was good. Waitstaff was pleasant. On the entrance to the establishment was posted a sign that explained all the Covid guidelines pertaining to eating at this particular restaurant. (Nothing different than anywhere else.) It was written in a very unfriendly tone along with complaints...of how hard it is to run a bar, our country’s rotten politicians, blah blah blah. Our group was en route through Gilpin Co — we were showing friends a few properties that we own — and Roy’s was geographically perfectly situated for lunch. Had there been any other options within easy distance, we would have kept walking/driving. We all wished we had moved on. I am assuming it was the esteemed Roy who stared at us as we entered and asked if we could sit outside. I felt as though his stare said, “I don’t know you. You don’t belong here.” Ummm, sorry...it’s a public place. Later, as we waited for our food, we had to endure this same person’s loud, obnoxious and obviously drunken behavior at a nearby table. Multiple F-words, over and over. We clearly were not amused and did not acknowledge him. He later came to our table and sat down and continued with the foul language along with foul talk about our politicians and the multiple ways he would kill them. On and on. And us with a young 14 year old sitting with us. It was completely obnoxious. It’s a convenient location for us and the pizza was good but we will NOT be back. Best of luck selling the place, Roy...hoping the next owner will be a happier person.More

The worst service and owner in town. You're lucky to even get food, if the owner isn't so drunk he shuts the kitchen

We have had some wonderful meals there. The owner is also the chef, and he always puts his special touch on the meals. Their burritos are outstanding. The atmosphere is also very warm and interesting.

The food was good bar food, not anything spectacular but was nice. A nice place to wander around, take a look at the art and all the shot glasses they've collected over time. It is a little pokey, but come in and relax. It's not...intended to be a fast food place.More
