It turns out the only thing better than R&R Biscuits & Gravy eaten in Black Forest is R&R Biscuits & Gravy eaten in my own kitchen wearing my pajamas! The box meal is awesome, plenty of tasty food, and now my kitchen smells like breakfast....I recommend practicing safe distancing with R&R to-go food, especially box meals!More
The atmosphere of this place is very nice. Great woodworking and attractive surroundinngs. However, it was almost like this was the first week anyone had any experience with anything restaurant related. The girl at the order counter was very slow and cumbersome, and couldn't seem...to master the computer input. Then we sat for about 15 minutes and a guy came over and asked what we ordered. It seemed REALLY difficult for them to grasp simple things on our order. My omelet was very good but the other orders were mediocre--cold burrito and dry pork sandwich. They couldn't seem to figure out how to bring drinks even--finally just said how frazzled they were. I felt sorry, but then again, that's the business they're in and they just didn't seem to get it. Hopefully next time will be better. There's potential there. The experience was bad enough where they decided to comp the meal, which was very nice of them.More
A few things to consider about this place, it is small and turnover of tables is you taking a table as someone leaves. People cleared their plates so the next group could sit down because it is that busy. You order and pay then find...a seat. If you want to be waited on, this is not the place for you
About the food and coffee....good stuff!! We got a blueberry danish to snack on while waiting for our food. Absolutely delicious!!! My coffee was good and my friend really enjoyed the boulder breakfast tea. I had a cheddar biscuit and gravy with an over easy egg. The egg was perfectly cooked!!! The biscuit was slightly toasted. Yum! The gravy was not too think or too thin. I really enjoyed it. I’m a biscuit and gravy connoisseur. This is one my top three favorite ever!!! My friend had the bob and enjoyed it. Portions are not small. Give this place a try! Bring a laid back attitude and you will enjoy it.More
First time we tried this place. Hubby liked his omelet. I had standard bacon; eggs; potatoes. Nothing special but still good. Another member of our party had the biscuits and gravy and she didn’t care for it. She felt she makes the dish better. One...other person had the skillet and said it was fair. They were out of the cinnamon French toast and it was early in the day. Our food was lukewarm which is disappointing for the amount of money we paid. Regular coffee for $3.75 was a bit steep. Atmosphere is very quaint and cozy. Several of the reviews state what my review says about lukewarm food and running out of items early in the day. I think management should find some solutions. Two people in party will try restaurant again; other two stated they won’t return. Possibly for the coffee, but not breakfast.More
We have been for breckfast twice and tried it for lunch once. Exervy time the food has be fresh and fantastic. The service right on point and the coffee is varied and great. I find myself looking for reasons to go here.
We came for a late breakfast/lunch type of visit. The atmosphere was very welcoming. They have a ton of fantastic coffee options. The food we ordered was ok, not super impressive. But service was great. I like the whole „pay when you order“ setup. That...way you can leave without having to ask for the check. We‘ll definitely come back, have to try a few of the other food options for sure.More

Springsfoodblog, as I said in my response to her, we didn't set out to make the situation worse. As a fellow foodie and restaurant reviewer (hence your name here...), I'd wager to assume that you've seen your fair share of unfortunate experiences in restaurants. Her call came across digitized, her husband was clear. Why is beyond me. My mother has a severe case of Multiple Sclerosis which has made her bedridden for over 13 years--I understand disibilities and what they can do to a person, and I make sure my staff does as well. Thank you for your question and prior review.
