Came here for brunch with my mother, and was delighted with the food. We had eggs benedict which was delicious. The decor and general feel of the place is relaxing and rustic. Only gets 4 stars because they put hollandaise on my eggs even when I requested it to be left off. Also it is quite pricey.

I know this bakery from the point of view of a visitor interested in social history. The bakery is located in the convent's kitchen wing and uses two wood-fired masonry ovens that were installed by the nuns in 1901. What a heritage to keep going.

Great place to visit. Located not far from cbd. But along a beautiful river, waterfalls and parkland. The bakery has great rustic food. Cooked in woofire oven. 😆

Had heard a lot of positive reviews and finally got to visit. Fabulous seating outside with some seats under shade/umbrellas and others in sun; inside tables too. Nice choice of pies. We had steak & mushroom which was very tasty! The other pie was lasagne pie & unfortunately it was quite bland. Coffee was nice and tasty. Meals were served... More

We visited this place for Mother's Day and it was perfect despite a rainy day. Service was great and warm cosy atmosphere was easily achieved. Food was excellent casual fare and healthy . We would definitely come again.

Visited this cafe on Mother's Day and it was extremely disappointing. Service was average, food was alright but very expensive and the value for money was extremely disappointing. I ordered a brownie, no kidding the size of a 5x5 square. It was rich in flavour but cost me $6 for that size, a total ripoff! For the amount of attention... More

We visited on a very busy sunny day and waiting time was about 15 minutes (water provided). The selection of sandwiches was good enough, some vegetarian options, but all of them quite heavy on the carbs. The fare is simple, but well presented and there should be something for most people including gluten free and vegans. The staff are fast... More

Points for the great kid friendly location.Easy to eat and safely watch the kids play on the green space, playground and climb trees. Points off for issues with each of the items we ordered. Would NOT return. Overpriced and very average to poor quality. Fruit salads x2- rockmelon tasted mouldy. Cauliflower tart had been sitting in pie warmer too long-... More

One of a number of cafes in the Abbotsford Convent precinct. They do bake lovely bread although a bit pricey due to the trendy tree-huggers who frequent this area. Not that there's anything wrong with hugging a tree and I sometimes do this myself if a suitable ghost gum is in reaching/wrapping distance.
