We had dinner here one evening and have been very pleasantly surprised with both the quality for the food and the diligence of the service. Both the sushi and the tempura was very good ... especially when you can see how the food is prepared along the bar. Surprisingly authentic for this location. Very good ... and not the last time!

Not our type of place. Too fishy..........No one in my Family thought food was very good, but I did see the waiter bring out whole dead fish of many varieties to a table and explain the differences. Service was also below par for the expense.

We recently dined here for lunch- we were very excited to try the seafood. We ordered the blackened fish sandwich- while it was flavorful, it was a tiny quantity of fish (about 1/3 the size of the bun). We asked the waiter about this and was told "this is normal for that sandwich". Also multiple items we ordered had an increased price on the bill compared to the menu. While these were small differences (~$1), price transparency matters. On the upside, the kids menu food was delicious- we got the cheese noodles for our son.

Surprisingly poor sushi given the scattered good reviews. Not fresh. Minuscule portions. Rolls not creative. And service was ok at best. Special note - they call it the Matrix roll - and the servers recommend it - not a roll. It’s a thick log of (excessive) baked rice, topped with an unidentifiable thin layer of fish products. And when we complained about that dish in particular, they refused to replace it or credit it (on a $400+ order). There are so many good food options in Beaver Creek village. I’d stick with the others and have sushi in a place back home that understands how to treat raw fish properly

We came here for lunch and were intrigued by the extensive sushi and seafood menu. However the meal was super disappointing. Everything that was ordered by our party of four was VERY small. Two of us ordered entree salads with added protein and paid considerably for doing so. The salads were the size of a side salad and the added protein was negligible. One in our group ordered the tuna tacos and they were TINY. Another ordered the chicken sandwich and there was about 2-4 oz of chicken. We had two sushi rolls that were passable. All in all I’d say it was an expensive snack. We left feeling hungry and dissatisfied.

Almost 10 years going to Beaver Creek (left another review of this place in 2014) and I still cannot believe this is the only game in town for sushi. We often crave sushi so ended up going there again, but place is really crowded and overpriced. Quality is average. Servers and staff make minimum effort required. The resort should really get smart about this. I guess we will keep going If they continue to be only choice for sushi in town, but only when we are famished for sushi.... but for such a great place / resort as Beaver Creek, it is a shame the sushi is soooo mediocre.

ordered early online with a specified pick up time that the restaurant confirmed, and gave them 2 hrs to prepare. when we arrived at 6pm pickup time we were told it would be another 15min, so take a walk and come back. We returned at 6:15, and they said they go check on it. after 5 more minutes they came back and said it would be another 15-30 minutes. We asked which would it be, 15 or 30. She said I don't honestly know because when I asked the kitchen, they yelled at me and told me to go away. We asked to speak to the manager, who came out with a bad and angry attitude. As we interrogated him about when our food would be ready and what caused the delay of an on-line order with plenty of prep time, he softened and comped us some cocktails. Food was good, way overpriced, staff was overwhelmed and had a bad attitude. Will not go back and telling all our friends to avoid.

Booked table for 3 people more than week in advance. 10 minutes before the actual reserved time, they call me from the restaurant that they just looked at my reservation and read special request note and they were it able to accommodate us. When arrived, I asked to talk to general manager, and the person in his twenties said he was the general manager and he told me they did not have table for us that was booked in advance with the credit card. He said he could offer us 2 seats at the bar (reservation was for 3). He also said he will not charge me if we cancelled the reservation. He absolutely didn’t care and show no effort to accommodate us. He reasoned his inability to honoree our reservation with: we move the things around a lot. So, for anyone that books the place and actually gets the table, you may possibly enjoy the food, but be aware that at this restaurant reservation means nothing as they “move things around”. Absolutely unacceptable for the Beaver Creek restaurant and I hope that people will care to make them Improve their service, which in our case was nonexistent. I gave one star only because there was no option for no stars. I have eaten everywhere in the world, on 5 continents, and this is the first time that manager and restaurant did not honor previous reservation. Truly shameful. When posting this review I noticed that quite a few people commented on lack of or poor customer service.

Our service was ok, our server seemed to have a tough time navigating the menu, it’s like the chef isn’t quite sure what he’s doing. The server was trying to guide us towards dishes that were ‘fresh’ & only had a couple to offer. I’d save your seafood adventures for travel outside of the Rocky Mountains.

I understand that this place has to charge for the location but some of the prices are just ridiculous! We ordered a Bloody Mary and it was NASTY, no flavor at all. We tried to fix it by ordering horseradish, and they charged us for it lol!!!! really? We ordered egg salad and caviar toast, for almost 30 dollars and the amount of caviar was laughable, so we paid 30 for an egg salad. This place should be embarrassed for this ripoff. STAY AWAY

We finished skiing ⛷ and headed to Hooked for their famous Happy Hour. We didn’t have much food but can vouch for it anyway. We crave this sushi when we’re not in Colorado, that’s how good it is‼️Great cocktails and service in a social distance setting.

This is a seafood restaurant, with a Japanese tilt, located on the Plaza at Beaver Creek. It has dramatically increased its outdoor seating, at least in the summer, perhaps because of the pandemic. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it. Menu items were extremely pricey despite being ordinary at best. No bread was offered. The two of us decided to share a $20 order of crispy calamari as an appetizer. The plate was the smallest serving of calamari that we have ever seen, and it was of relatively poor quality. It came with an extremely spicy sauce so we had to ask for a replacement of mayo and lemon slices instead. We commented on the skimpy serving and asked if the chef could supplement our serving. We were later told that the calamari would be comped, and we were asked if we wanted a second serving. We decided no because of the poor quality. Later, a second skimpy dish arrived anyway, for which we were charged. I ordered some smoked salmon sliders with Colorado Palisade peach. They were bland and had no noticeable peach component. The three small pieces of sashimi for $20 arrived with no soy sauce or other condiment. The $40 scallops were rather ordinary. Service was O.K. The chairs were not very comfortable. Maybe you could grab some supper here if it were one-third the cost. But it isn’t. Right next door is a much better restaurant, the Golden Eagle.

The menu at Hooked is eclectic. It is mostly seafood related but ranges from Fish and Chips or sandwiches to whole fish prepared as both sushi and cooked. Our experience was that the food was very good but the heavy sale of the whole fish before we had even had a chance to order a cocktail was unwelcome. We wanted a chance to study the menu and catch our breath but our server was persistent in presenting the whole fish options and when we did not go that route he paced the meal such that courses overlapped. As I stated, the food was good but we wanted to dine rather than just sit down and eat. Perhaps just a bad day and my son had lunch there and said it was a very different experience.

Terrible experience with the restaurant. Had three young children ages 10 (twins) and 6 at 4:30pm confirmed for a table. We were requested to return by 4:45pm. When we arrived, we were told our table was given away because other people arrived in between. But the front desk person told me to come back at 4:45pm!! My children ages 10 and 6 were waiting outside in the cold for dinner! We were there at 4:30pm!! We were then offered a table at 6:30pm. How crazy is this! For a mom with young children, this was absolutely insensitive and crazy. I’ve never in my life experienced such bad service. I hope the owners don’t have small children because if they do, I hope they think about how they will feel when Thai happen to their young family.

We were seated at the bar. The wait staff walked by several times without acknowledging us. When we did order they did not have the clam chowder. My husbands meal came out before mine (fish and chips) and he finished his by the time I received my meal. I asked the wait staff if my meal was coming, they acted like it was no big deal that my meal took so long. It would have been nice to have had an update on my meal. After dinner I was hoping to get a decaf coffee, but they only had regular beans. Overall a disappointing dinner. We will not go back.
