Showed up for a breakfast burrito and a sandwich I could back in for a first night's dinner on my backpacking trip. Both of the people in my group got different sandwiches and different burritos. All 4 were great. The owner was nice enough to...suggest sandwiches that would "travel" well. They made the sandwiches in such a way so that they would still be tasty when we got to camp. They were!!More

husband & wife (late 50s) were looking for quick (but not fast food chain) good lunch in Basalt; we took a chance on this strip center place that is not enticing from the street or by glance inside; the young woman was pleasant & the...food was unexpectedly good; we sat insideMore

I ate lunch at BLT & Taqueria 4 days in a row! I love their traditional BLT's, but I also had their half pound hamburger as well as one day I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Po'Boy. Eat-In or TakeAway you'll want to get there early...to avoid the line of hungry customers.More

I did a short stint at a restaurant near this gem, and stopped a few times on the way. Wow. Fresh, delicious, well-executed food at reasonable prices, warm and inviting service. So great! It's run out of a mercado, so you can eat and hang...there, but I was always on my way to work so never did. The steak quesadilla is amaaaaaazing. But also shrimp tacos. And burritos! Everything I ever had there was absolutely delicious. If you're in Basalt, check this place out. And it's next door to a super cute liquor store, so you can kill two birds with one quesadilla/stone. :)More

Really, really good breakfast burrito with chorizo to go. We had to wait a few minutes because it is absolutely made fresh. This is really a great local place for great to-go Mexican food.

Another Basalt hole in the wall type place but they make a great sandwich. This is a place popular with the locals so you know its good. We stopped and got our sandwiches (5 of us) to go. It took about 15 minutes as the...place was very busy, but well worth the wait. I'm not sure what their entire menu is composed of, but if you want a really, really good sandwich, this is the place!More

We love tacos from BLT. Easy option for lunch or dinner. We take the tacos to go and find a nice spot by the river.

I had a carnitas taco and an al pastor taco. The carnitas was tender and flavorful. The al pastor was tough and had some gristle. On of my companions said they remembered having the same experience in the past. Another gave a great review for...the carne asada tacos. Good tacos for $2, they come with simple topings and salsa on the side. Skip the al pastor tacos. The store also sells basic Mexican cooking ingredients like masa, spices, canned goods and has some refrigerated items such as cheese and crema.More

We went here on a recent flyfishing excursion for the breakfast burritos to go and they were terrific, especially with the side order of homemade, richly chile flavored hot sauce. The lunch sandwiches looked great and I'd give the place a shot for a BYOB...dinner. Locals were lined up on a Tuesday and the drill seems to be to phone in the order for a quick turnaround. Very limited seating, more of a takeout place. Try it!More

Locally owned and very good food. Tacos are like ones we, from Austin call street tacos. We plan on eating there as often as possible.
