Had a wonderful Schnitzel dinner here recently. Always good but need to save room for their Streudal for dessert!

This place is fabulous. Every time we go back to Basalt we eat add this really good German restaurant. It might surprise you but they also have one of the best steaks you’ll ever eat. Their pretzel and cheese is a great appetizer. Their goulash...is to die for and their beer is always cold. Don’t miss out on a chance to eat at this place.More
Excellent! Authentic and delicious. We’ll be back. Random choice that was a hit. Don’t miss the pretzels. Extensive beer selection on draft.
Great food. Friendly service. So glad this former Aspen standout found such a nice place to land after its building was torn down for the museum. Totally worth the drive for brunch (breakfast or lunch).
Well, the time it took to just get a beer, A BOTTLE of beer, not draft, Took an excessive amount of time as did the waitress that seemed to not be in any sort of hurry, i simply paid for the beer and left. It...was NOT busy, they were not understaffed, nor busy. Sorry, to those that seem to like the place. I will walk on by next time.More
What a great find in Basalt. We were very pleased with the Chicken Schnitzel and a great glass of red wine. Kristi was very pleasant, attentive without being overbearing. Splurged on dessert with Apple Strudel and ice cream and trust me, you will not be...disappointed. Recommend this place for great food, great ambiance, and great service.More
Best place in Basalt / Willits Always great food, atmosphere & service - just a quality place Love this place. We go there regularly, kids friendly & so delicious 👍👍👍👍👍
I was amazed by the interior of the restaurant. Great place for friends, especially groups. But above all, hosts are amazing and going above and beyond. Kudos to Adi and Nikola for delivering outstanding service! Will definitely visit again!
We were here yesterday for lunch and decided to come back for breakfast. Great food and great service. Highly recommended
Wonderful place. From start to finish everything was excellent. Best sauerkraut I've ever had and I grew up in a German household. Go to this place! Sit and enjoy! Can't recommend it enough!
Had lunch in the middle of a hot day! Great menu - European dishes and beer - very personal service - the owner offered to taste various beers and bratwursts ... definitely want to come again - would love to have breakfast and dinner there.
I’ve been few times for a brunch and dinner. Delicious food and great selection of beers. There is outdoor patio.
We found this place on our Valentine's/birthday weekend. We both had the jaegerschnitzel and it was absolutely delightful! We crave and long for this kind of food. We came here from the Grand Junction area. With all the many choices around Glenwood, we gladly drove...15 more minutes to this restaurant and are so glad we did. The restaurant was warm and cozy with a great menu. The servers were a little reserved and not super friendly, but they brought our food promptly. And it was very appealing. You must try some of the alcohol menu if you can, the varieties of beer and wine are fabulous. Give them a try, we will definitely be returning! Sure wish they were in the Grand Junction area as well.More
Charming stop in Basalt. I had the Reuben Eggs Benedict. It cost $12.00 and was very good. The potatoes were actually crispy and tasty. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Very warm and inviting and our server was pleasant and attentive.
Great food & service was fabulous! If you’re in the area definitely try the Jäger Schnitzel. Potato soup was delicious.
