We've visited Basalt every summer for the past 15 yrs.....and always had a few pleasant meals at Tempranillo. Our children visit in the winter and have always enjoyed eaitng there. Not only will we never go back but will give fair warning to our neighbors and other visitors. This evening we had a 6:45 reservation. We were seated promptly and... More

Spent the weekend in Aspen Basalt area. Was here 4 years ago and never ate here. It was very good. Beet salad and Caesar salads were perfect. Saw someone else had a sangria, asked about it and they were happy to make it for me. Wasn't on the menu. I had wonderful rigatoni bolognese and my hubby had chicken piccata.... More

I have eaten here many times and the food is always great. The wines are superb too. You should [plan on spending some time there as the service is not always fast (in fact usually slow)

I've eaten at Tempernillo for many years and it is one of my faves. Love the Tapas menu and where else can you get Paella around here? Seriously,it's all good but the Tapas are special. The Tuna Tartare and the Mussels in lemon cream are not to be missed- remember to save some bread to soak up that amazing cream... More

Great food and great atmosphere! I always get bit by the specials though. The entrees are all priced in the $15 to $20 range on the menu. The wait staff does a great job of presenting the specials which are outstanding but they are priced at $30 and up. Beware!

Tempranillo is a great choice for Aspen/Snowmass diners looking for excellent tapas as well as other dishes, all done with care and class. Dinners here have become an annual event for our group of gourmands, and we always leave pleased with our decision. Meats, pastas, and fish equally tasty. Good wine list. An excellent restaurant choice.

I've been there a few times and every time the food is great. If you seat in the bar they have different specials going on during the week, even up to 50% off your bill!!! Food is really fantastic, totally recommend to go with a group of people so you can order a bunch of tapas and share, I believe... More

My partner and I enjoyed a very good Spanish meal last night at Tempranillo. We enjoyed three tapas, drawn from the extensive menu that includes many vegetarian choices - fresh fried artichokes served with aioli, gambas (shrimp) baked in a delicious garlic sauce, and lightly cooked spinach served with pine nuts and raisins. All three were delicious, and quite generous... More

It was nice to find a restaurant in the area where to have good Spanish food. I tried the paella as a main course and I should say it was great. The service was also very good and came with good recommendations on the wine list.
