I definitely recommend this place and its more laid back than the photos suggest. We had a lot of fun with a group of friends for my 30th!

Inviting restaurant with good food. Service is hit or miss. Wonderful outside deck for summer dining. Management is sometimes less than customer friendly.

I seem to be visiting everyplace twice lately. Tempranillo is no exception. We came once with a large party of about 15 for a birthday, and again with a small group of 4. Both experiences were wonderful. Tempranillo is in a cute old building on Basalt's main street. Ancient wood floors seem to slant from one end to another. There... More

The tapas were incredible . The main dishes too. Had the lobster ravioli , lamb shank and see food paella. All were very tasty and and authentic . Service was ok but could have been a little friendlier. Seems like the server was always in a hurry. The disappointing thing is that they did not have an expreso machine. Very... More

Variety and flavour of food is exceptional. With the small plate tapas format you can enjoy so many different selections at one sitting. Atmosphere is always buzzing. Friendly and welcoming staff.. Not to be missed!

We've eaten here so many times and for different reasons, and have never been disappointed. We've done family dinners, and friends get togethers here and will definitely come back. The waiters have always been friendly and most knowledgeable about helping us with our wine selection. Whether you eat inside or outside, it's a real treat to dine here!

Our large group ate at Tempranillo last night. We all enjoyed our meal which was a combination of tapas, pasta dishes, salads and meat entrees. The food was delicious!Additionally, the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. We would definitely return to Tempranillo when we are in the area again.

An outstanding meal at bar on very, very busy night. Service at bar was attentive, profession. Bottle of wine from Tempranillo region plus 5 tapas plates: grilled vegs, calamari (grilled & fried), shrimp, tuna tartar. More than ample--could easily done with four. Total bill including tip, tax was $100. If in a hurry quicker service available at bar. Extensive craft... More

Husband and I stopped here for dinner during a weekend trip around Pitkin. Food was absolutely delicious - simple, very tasty, healthy "home-prepared" style - and the wine and gin&tonic were just as good! Owners are great and take care of their customers - from checking we had enough bread, to bringing us an extra seat cushion. We ate outside... More

2 visits over 2 months. Great great food ( tapas style ) , make sure they let you know the "special " prices . When every tapas is in 10.-/15.- range you don't expect the specials to run 20.- each. The food is fantastic , service is overwhelmed on weekends but again , beautiful restaurant in the old Basalt. Diner... More
