A late lunch that was served quickly and was flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The chicken-fried steak was truly prepared on site - tenderized, hand-breaded thin steak that was very good and a good value.

I had been traveling all morning and randomly stopped at Cutthroat Cafe. Maybe because it was still "off season" but I had quick service and the best burger I have eaten in a very long time. This Colorado local will be back!!
We found nothing to detract. Perhaps some of the reviewers need to remember there have been different "trials, rules, & errors," with the COVID restrictions (I can't imagine complaining about paper plates). Good food---best patty melt (& fries) I think I've had anywhere & it...seems to be my go-to in a new (to me) restaurant. BF said VERY good breakfast & he is VERY particular (esp. about the chili). Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Food was better than GREAT. We will make a point to return whenever we can take that route to Denver,More
Took along time to be waited on. A customer who came in after us was helped before we were. It was upsetting to see several customers come in with out masks. We finally ordered. When asking for coffees refill. Only one cup was refilled. Food...was blah We asked why there was not a mask sign. We were told, they can't make people wear them. Won't be back.More
I'm struggling with my review of this place. The positives: It's cute - great outdoor seating, nice servers and cashier, met the owner who was awesome. Everyone who worked there was really nice! The breakfast burrito was delicious. Prices are good! The negatives: It was...probably the worst coffee I've ever had in my life. The pancakes were just ok. You carry your own drinks (which is fine!) and food was served on paper plates. And it was really slow going to order when they weren't that busy. You order at the cashier but it seems like they were a bit understaffed. I probably would stop in again if passing by, but wouldn't make a special trip to eat here.More
Stopped in with some friends for lunch. 1hr 20mins later we had a partial order of what some folks would call food. Ok, fries were good even if we had to ask to get them because the waitress and cook forgot our salads that were...supposed to come with the sandwiches. Specifically: Flies everywhere! Very poor service. 10mins to get a waitress to take a drink order, which she then forgot. 20 mins later we got our drinks and placed our orders. After 40 mins, hearing lots of other folk who's orders were late AND wrong, we got up to leave, but were told "5 mins and your orders will be up". Mind you the waitress never came by to check on us, refill a drink, apologize for the lateness. Nothing till we decided to leave. So we waited, 10 more mins. We were served a Burnt to a crisp fish sandwich. A BBQ beef sandwich which consisted of some packaged beef, Looked like the cheap Buddig crap that Wally World sells, chopped up with some BBQ sauce on it. Again, no sides that were listed on the menu, no apologies. I write this after some time has past, I consider it one of the worst dining experiences ever. No one ever reached from the cafe, that's a tell also. Very disappointing, three of us locals will never be back. You might think twice before trying your luck and carry a fly swatter and may a sandwich if you're hungry.More

Good casual food at reasonable prices. Great spot for local conversation. Owner and staff very friendly.
Saradee was excellent at taking care of us. The food was delicious and came out fast and hot. Great coffee we will be back!
Food is good, service is small town. A good experience. Nothing fancy, but it feels like you are eating at a relatives house. Not too expensive, lots of choices. Pass on the steak & eggs tho.
Nice place to grab breakfast don't be in a big hurry.Locals gather there every morning. Breakfast burrito is large and very good. Bailey is limited early in the morning so this is your choice. Prices are good and lots of food. Potatoes were great.
Great food, good prices, lovely location in the Pine National Forest. Breakfast burritos are really generous and tasty. French toast was a hit with both of us. Lots of locals were eating here.
This place is a classic mom and pops shop. Love the friendliness and the welcoming feeling this place gives. The food is so good.
As you drive along CO 285 towards Fairplay, CO, you go through Bailey, CO. The Cutthroat Cafe sits on the right side of the road as you enter Bailey. If you drive too fast you may miss it and miss a great breakfast at a...very reasonable price. We ordered the Spanish Omelete which was stuffed with cheese and green chili sauce and a Breakfast Burrito which was very large. Both were excellent choices. Service was fast and excellent. They also have an outdoor patio which is out the back door. I highly recommend the Cuttthroat Cafe!More
