Fell into this nice little place just before closing. Service was friendly and efficient, the food was good and pricing reasonable .

Worst lack of service I've received in years. Cold awful food that I couldn't eat more then two bites of. After waiting forever I left money on my table and went somewhere else. When the other reviewers on here say don't do it....they are telling u the truth! Dirty floors and tables. Rude staff and gross food.....what else does anyone... More

My wife and I were shopping in Yreka and as it was late we had little to choose from so we decided to give Poor George's a chance. Huge mistake, we were seated unbeknownst to us by the owner, whom than left to to wait on others. After abot twenty five minutes one of the cooks came out and offered... More

Staying at the best western for a couple nights, was very happy with the hotel and had a wonderful meal across the street the night before based off asking the staff at the hotel where to eat. Decided to try Poor Georges since it was so close as well, NEVER SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT! I'll be returning to The Purple... More

I entered the The restaurant and tried to order some broasted chicken to go. Sounds like a real simple thing to me there in the restaurant business and I was... More

Come with a big appetite, good ol" home cooking meals. Great service and close to our hotel and old part of town to walk.

We had a quick lunch, ordered beef dips for the two of us. Was pleasantly surprised with the side of potato salad, homemade and delicious. The beef dip had good quality beef on a fresh roll. Very good. The portions are a little small, but just right for us.

We stopped in here for breakfast and it was very good. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very good. We had the usual breakfast but it was tasty and the pancakes are huge. Stop here for breakfast, you'll like it.

The food was good. They forgot my wife's toast but that was okay with her. She wouldn't have ate it.
