Our sincerest thanks to our great server, Jenny. My sisters and i meet for our October Birthdays each year and this was the perfect pick for us. We sat outside and it was just perfect. There was a slight breeze and you could tell Fall...was just around the corner. I had the Veggie Omelet which was huge and I ordered the potatoes and pancakes with it. A lot of went home with me. My sisters had the salad which looked delicious. We lingered at our table for quite awhile visiting and opening Birthday gifts and Jenny was so attentive to our needs the whole time. We will be back (for sure) as it is our favorite place in Wrightwood. Oh, and a very special thank you to Jenny for judging our contest we have at our birthday lunch and I was declared the winner of the Birthday Cake contest we have each year. In fact, we have been meeting for over 30 years. Thank you, Grizzly Cafe for a most delightful afternoon.More

This adorable cafe is the perfect place to stop and refresh after driving the Angeles Crest Highway! It’s so easy to find, right off the main road in a quaint little plaza and there’s plenty of paved parking. They’re doing great on the Covid safety...measures...everyone wore masks and they had hand sanitizer out and tables had more than enough space btwn them outside. Seating is out on a large covered patio with plenty of shade and a nice breeze. Also, the staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming! They were attentive and helpful! And a man even came out and had a nice chat with me...I think he may have been the owner...such kind people! I ordered the Tuesday special which is a taco salad. I got it with ground beef and it was excellent! A huge portion too...I couldn’t finish it! It had plenty of guacamole and great flavor, especially with the salsa they give you. I also took a chocolate malt to-go for dessert...it was packed full of creamy chocolatey malty deliciousness! My only issue was the raspberry tea...it was a tad bitter...but not a big deal at all. They also have a gift shop full of fun, shabby chic house wares and nick nacks...and they had a sale table outside too...the prices were awesome throughout the shop (and for the food as well)...I walked away with several cute items for home! Highly recommend stopping here! Such good food, lovely people and cozy atmosphere! Will come again!More

We drove from LA through the mountains for something to do. The patio here was lovely. Nice variety of food well made Very large drinks which was nice on a hot day. They cleaned all the tables well and were following Covid19 protocols, except for...one waitress wearing her mask below her nose.More

I, my son, and daughter stopped in Wrightwood after the afternoon’s driving of the length of the Angeles Crest Hwy (CA-2). Looking for dinner, we all found the Grizzly Cafe, and chose that for our dinner. This was in the middle of the COVID-19 restrictions...beginning to be lifted, so we were considering that, too. We noticed they were a long time in business, had a lovely and well maintained theme for being in a forest, and offered gluten free food (a must for my daughter), Going inside, I noticed they were serious about sanitation: nobody admitted without wearing a mask until they were seated at their table, Passing through a large and attractive souvenir store near the entrance, I saw some waitress cleaning down an empty table between customers, there was a big QR code in the middle of the table for us to gain access to their complete menu online contact-free (I didn’t know how to use it, so I asked for and got a regular menu), and very clean restrooms. There are inside and outside dining areas. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. My son ordered rib-eye steak and liked it; my daughter ordered a gluten free Golden Almond chicken breast and liked that; I tried to order the salmon fillet, but at 5:30 PM they were out of it, so instead I got a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, garlic toast, cooked carrot and string bean vegetable, and fruit salad. Everything was very good, and I think we all ate too much. We all liked dinner so much that we lingered outside on a front porch swing, talking, before departing for home in the big city.More

We ordered chicken wings, grilled prawns and steak. The steak is a daily special so it costs only $18. The portion is big and the food is nice. Environment is also cozy.

I have so far enjoyed every meal my family has had at the grizzly. The staff there is always pleasant and the food has been a hit. My kiddos really dig the (giant and shareable) chocolate cake. Generous portions and yummy.

I had the BBQ chicken and steak. It was a large portion that we split the plate into two. They gave us extra vegetables and ordered an extra salad. All the food and coffee was good.

You can eat inside, where it's always nice and warm, or you can eat outside. Plenty of nice tables outside and it's shaded. Plenty of room to move around and large tables too, if you have a large party of people.
