I've been going there for years. Good for a special date or for a business meeting. The food is consistently awesome. Great wine selection. staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The breads there are amazing. Salads, soups, pork loin, burger, and fries are all my favorites. Make your reservations well in advance. 1 Michelin star

My sweetie and I went the eat in the late morning at the Village Pub on July 24, our 53 wedding anniversary. I had made a reservation over a week before on Open Table. The food and service were excellent. I recommend that you go to the Village Pub if you're in the area. We were seated right away at... More

I suppose technically it is since it has a great bar and food is served. But, c'mon, when one thinks of "pub" this place is not what comes immediately to mind. The Village Pub is a fine dining restaurant with a towering wine list and, oh yeah, a wonderful bar. Call it a hippopotamus if you like. Whatever. Expect varied... More

Just finished their Mother's Day dinner. We were, first, surprised that there was only a prix fixe dinner available, for $78/each. Second, the choices were limited and unimaginative. Third, and this is the nub of the matter: the food was close to inedible. The vichyssoise was watery, lukewarm, with no flavor. The scallops had to be sent back twice to... More

My second visit to the pub was as extraordinary as the first. Don't let the 'village' or 'pub' fool you. This is a top notch kitchen with an outstanding ambiance and service. I would call this a hidden gem as most outsiders discount the name on poor assumptions. One of my favorite restaurants on the entire peninsula. Book in advance... More

What a beautiful place! I discovered it at night and knew we had to come back for brunch - and the timing was perfect it was Father's Day. The decor is lovely, upscale rustic without being too hoity toity. The service was great - loved the fireplace and wood burning oven. There are not a lot of brunch choices but... More

We never miss a visit to The Pub when attending horse competitions at the Woodside Horse Park. We've been coming here for dinners for years and have never been disappointed.

Had a business lunch which was very pleasant in what I would call professional surroundings. Reasonably quiet. Food tasty albeit small portions with a very nice selection on the menu. Subsequently, had dinner there a few days later on a Friday night. Much different ambience as the place was full and robust. Noise level high, but it was a fun... More

While it is true that the menu is expensive, it is well worth it. Our server explained every dish in great detail and when the food arrived, the explanation was repeated. This was necessary because the menu has items of whch I was not familiar. The water glass never went below full, the pre-dinner cocktails were wonderful, and the desserts... More

This is a charming restaurant with great atmosphere and exceptional food. The tuna was extraordinary. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Perfect evening.
