On King's Mountain, in the beautiful redwoods. Casual setting with bar and seperate dining room. Good food. Long established business...where the locals go.

This restaurant is a favorite with locals. They have fireplaces and a romantic, rustic atmosphere. The food is good and not too expensive. The restaurant is large with multiple rooms and is not too noisy.

Very low key dining establishment with delicious food and competent friendly service. Warm atmosphere in a forest setting. Come in daylight and enjoy the changing light of the trees as the day ends. My favorite dish is venison, but there are plenty of options for all palettes.

Went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. Can't believe we haven't tried this before. It's not too far. Just about 15 min from the 92/280 interchange. Is on an amazing redwood forest- feels so far away. They have a cozy bar in front with a fireplace and lots of wood and then a nice, fancier dining room in back,... More

The Mountain House is located above Woodside in a rather remote area. It is a pleasant drive during daylight hours but more challenging for the uninitiated at night. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful pink and peach sunset as we ascended Hwy 92 and crested the hill at Skyline Blvd. A quick 6 mile drive found us parking... More

Great service and hosts. Always go there for birthday dinners or visitors from out of town. Never disappointed.

By surprise I met friends here and was very happy to be back. It has been years and it was like going home. They have great game meets like Elk, Venison, Duck and much more. They also have traditional items. You fine under the redwoods and this place has charm.

Great service topped only by the creatively delicious food! The setting is delightful - a true escape from the mad dash rush of Nearby Silicon Valley.

First the good. The owner is very responsive. That's it. The bar was oppressively hot. Right? In the Mountains? No air flow no fan except over the bartender. Miserable. Even by the window. Seated in atrium pretty fast. Everything went downhill from there. Strange gin drink. Bone Marrow undercooked. Like eating straight fat. Horrid. The Wild caught local Salmon came... More
