Plainfield station is a great pit stop for a great burger. They have a reputation as a "biker bar" and that may be true in the evening hours, but I always enjoy a lunch stop for a burger. My only complaint is that they only take cash.

Great, hand made, cooked to your taste patties for one of the best burgers in town. Worth going, despite the reviews in Davis wiki, but definitely a different place than the rest of the town. Rednecks, bikers, country people and a good time!

This place is a casual roadhouse bar and cafe. Has a wide selection of bar food: burgers, sandwiches, tacos, hot dogs. You get the picture. We come by often on Sunday evening for a 'no cooking' evening. I particularly like the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries as it is smaller than the wide selection of burgers. And very tasty.

Nice place, decent hamburgers, but not good service. If you are in the patio, there is no way to know your food is ready. You have to go in person to checkout. The food is not super good but the place pays off the experience

Although we have lived in the area for 20 years, we just visited Plainfield Station today. We are so glad we did! Probably the best burgers and fries we have ever had. Everything was handmade and delicious. The menu has more than burgers, and folks rave about their tacos too! When you first pull up, you might be wondering if... More

Here is a good stop out in the country between Woodland and Davis. Locals know this well as a fun little place especially during the summer. Live music out back. The food is good bar food. Interesting is their Guiness burger. It looked great. My turkey burger was just ok. The beef nachos looked tasty. They got cold beer-shocker. Back... More

If you are looking for a great hamburger then Plainfield Station is the place. It is out of the way from almost anywhere. 5 miles north of I-80. A few miles west of Davis CA. This place is an old gas station turned Bar & Grill. Nothing fancy. Bar and tables inside with large screen TV's & pool table. Large... More

Best hamburger I can remember. Western Burger. Thick, hand-formed patty. Lightly cooked through. A battered onion ring, cheese, tomato, lettuce, Bermuda onion slice and bar-b-cue sauce. Plus fries. A friendly place. Nine beers on tap plus bottled and soft drinks. Offers a wide menu of casual foods (I.e. no sushi, no martinis, no chicken Marsala).

The Plainfield Station is a funky bar and grill in rural Woodland. Nice bar, but beer and wine only. Credit card limit of $10.00 but the ubiquitous ATM, charging the normal "fee" is there as well. Good selection on draught and the grill food (burgers and the like) sits well. There is an outdoor area and they occasionally have music.... More

It's out in the country. Doesn't look like much but the food and staff are awesome. Love their deep fried onions. Great burgers, fries, beer and just the over all feeling you get. Can't wait to go there again. Lots of fun. You can watch sports on t.v. play a game of pool or listen to music.........
