We arrived somewhat late for Willitis time but the two serving lasses were most friendly and accommodating. Not being very familiar with American Mexican they were most patient in assisting our selections. Corn chips and dip provided gratis for an appetiser. Good food, good value, as was the nice bottle of local red.

We stopped in for an early dinner, and were extremely impressed with the food and customer service. This is the best Mexican food we have had 30 years! We have lived in several states and eaten at many Mexican restaurants, and none of them can compare. I especially loved the Chili Relleno- it was perfect. Will definitely eat here again... More

We stopped for lunch on the way to Sacramento from points north. Although we had not planned on Mexican food, El Mexicano Restaurant was the only place open. Boy were we surprised. This small family owned restaurant served up the best Mexican food we have had. I had the Burrito El Mexicano and my wife had the Tomatillo Enchilada and... More

You won't regret eating here. Always friendly. Small family owned restaurant. Great food. Great service. Always enjoy visiting when we stop on the way through to the Bay area.

Found this place using Tripadvisor. It was very nice. The restaurant was crowded, which is usually a good sign. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good (not great), and very well priced, (dinners approx. $8-14). I would definitely stop and eat there again. Beer was also well priced. A great find!

I have eaten here a few times while visiting our friends in Willits,Ca. They seem to really enjoy it. However, living in the East SF Bay Area all my life, I have eaten some excellent Mexican food in my time. This is, well, not excellent. It's a nice, clean place, friendly staff. For some reason they can never seem to... More

It was the perfect place for a relaxing dinner at a reasonable price with time to relax and talk without worrying if your table was needed. The food was average for a Mexican Restaurant but the staff was friendly and attentive. The enchilladas were good but not the tamales. Too much masa and not enough filling.

It's popular with locals. Clean, we'll run, owner on premises. Good value. Regular folks can afford to eat there. Not haute cuisine.

I have eaten here twice, both times I had the fish tacos, they were alright, filling, but nothing to write home about. The décor is outdated, and the service on both occasions was unfriendly. I will not go back.

Recently some close friends stopped in for a late bite to eat after a funeral. The staff, Fran and Emilio were so compassionate. Their food is fantastic.
