My three sisters and I went to Ortega’s Dish and Grill on Leffingwell in Whittier, we ordered food to go. When we got home we were unpleasantly surprised and upset about how our looked. We ordered fried fish and I asked precisely to not be...over cooked. Well, the fish was so overly cooked that parts of it was burnt. The blue cost shrimp dish was terrible too. The bacon that rapped the shrimps was under cook and so were the shrimp. The Chilaquiles with carne asada was terrible, the carne asada was stale, hard to bite into and tastes. Terrible food that spoiled what was supposed to be a lunch with my sisters. We will not visit this place again. This placed used to have really good food, not anymore 🤮More

My husband and son love the fish tacos! The mariscos are very popular too. All their traditional mexican dishes are also very good.

They have "Taco Tuesday", so some of my friends and I had fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and carne asada tacos. I had a fish taco, which was very good, and a shrimp ceviche tostada. We were there at 11:30 and there was a lot of...people. It is a small and clean restaurant. Service was also excellent.More

Place was recommended by a friend. We were at theater close by and stopped here for dinner. Ordered fried baby octopus for appetizer. Chewy, not good. Ordered fish filet in butter. Fish was good. Rice, beans, salad and salsa were mediocre. Beers were cold, though....Would not go back, since I don't live close by. And I wouldn't recommend either. Just average food.More

Went here with some friends that are regulars... great food and service. Beers reasonably priced. Seems to get pretty busy so get there early.

If you're ever in the mood for great seafood, this is the place. They also have a regular Mexican food menu. There's something for everyone. The place is small. We usually get a few pounds of ceviche to go. They have fish, shrimp and a...combination. "All good". If you love beer, you're not going to believe how cheap in bucket of carona is. (beer and seafood) it doesn't get any better.More
