My husband made a reservation at Boccaccio's for Mother's Day 3 weeks before due date. It was not mentioned at that time or on their website that they turned the day into a Buffet for not just their restaurant but combined it with The Landing...and it was so overwhelmingly crowded and lines for the Buffet, which was in multiply narrow alleyways. People were complaining and without masks (COVID still around & up ticking) many people with 80+ year old parents in wheelchairs that didn't or couldn't rebook another restaurant to get out of this place. We were next to a table of 6 who had been trying for 45 mins. to get another reservation at another restaurant. This was a total over crowded disaster, Covid catching event that apparently the owner DID NOT CARE for guests or their employees who tried to do their upmost to serve and handle all things necessary. SHAME ON those who were behind this special Mother's Day! Rethinking about this place ever again. BTW, the food at the buffet looked so-soMore

What a great place the food was great the waitress very nice trying to accommodate us 50 people it was my mother’s 100 years we requested out doors by the lake it didn’t happened. We were place by a traffic area ruined lots of our...pictures. The food was placed in a walk by area. We talked to the managers and they asked us what do we want, how rudeness we received. We emailed no response not even an apology The food was great but I would think twice to book a party with themMore

My BFF and I had a magical experience today, thanks to Egi Cela who arranged a festive birthday dessert. Our waiter (George) was attentive and ensured that our festive occasion was an appropriately a festive occasion. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant:...the food, setting, and service are spectacular.More

Good food, portions, pricing, and service. Girls day out lunch, lovely view in the outdoor seating area, attentive service, good prices especially for an expensive area, business has been around for decades, menu has a lot of variety.

I have eaten at this place numerous times with clients and friends. This year wanted to do something different for My Mom than regular Westside Restaurants so I decided to get her a room for a few nights at the Four Seasons Westlake and then...take her to dinner here. I made the reservation a week prior and was excited to have her experience the atmosphere at this nice restaurant by the water. On the way to pick them up at the hotel, I encountered an accident of Lindero Cyn prior to my exit which stalled me a few mins... so I had my brother call and let them know we would be a few mins late. They said not to worry take our time and just be safe. Then I personally received a call from the restaurant saying if we don't get there in 5 mins we can no longer sit,. I told them we were literally 5 mins away. Mind you the reservation was for 7:30 PM .. apparently, they said they give you 10 mins grace period. We got to the front desk at 7:42...2 mins over the grace period ..even after we called and they had said we were okay. Well, we got there and the host told us they could not sit us. I asked to speak to the manager and he said it was too late and that the kitchen closed at 7:30 pm and that he had spoken to the kitchen and they weren open to cooking after 7:30 pm. What is quite strange is that our reservation was at 7:30 pm and don't they still have to take an order from you and cook the food? so that makes no sense when he says the kitchen closed at 7:30 pm. I tried to explain to him that I flew my mom down just for Mother's Day and dinner... and I could clearly see in front of me many open tables. I even asked if I could speak to the kitchen and he said he couldn't allow me back there. As an owner of a PR firm and having to deal with people and traveled the world throughout my career... I have never been treated in such a manner. I couldn't believe that even after I pleaded with him not to do this on Mother's Day he just didn't care. I was told that you accommodate the clientele...guess they have a different motto here. Luckily the restaurant Cosa Nostra up the street accommodated us and my Mother was able to have a good Mother's Day after all.More

We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had reservations and were seated promptly at an outdoor table with a beautiful view, our drink and appetizer orders were taken within a reasonable amount of time. However, that is where anything good about our dining experience...ends. Our waiter took our orders and then he NEVER came back to check on us. He never refilled our water or other beverages. Never checked to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. Twice we had to flag down other staff to ask for our waiter. Our food was presented within a reasonable amount of time, however our daughter's filet mignon, which she ordered rare/medium rare, was overcooked to medium. We again had to flag down someone to get our waiter. He took her plate and said they would make it right. Mind you, she ordered her filet rare/medium rare which should only take about 3 minutes per side to cook properly. 25 minutes later her replacement plate arrived, and the filet was cooked to well done this time! Absolutely ridiculous! The waiter had her cut it in front of him and he didn't know what to do, so we asked for the manager. The manager, Julie I believe her name was, came over and we explained the situation to which she rolled her eyes and proceeded to argue with us about everything! She took the plate, said she would take care of it, and stormed off with a terrible attitude to us. After an additional thirty minutes of being ignored, I asked my husband to please find the manager and figure this out. By this point we just wanted to pay our bill and leave. My husband went to the area where the manager could be found, and she proceeded to argue with him and roll her eyes at him and basically refused to make things right. My husband asked if the owner was in to which Julie said he had just left, but that she had already spoken to him and that he also agreed with her that the filet was not overcooked. She continued to argue and have a bad attitude. My husband then asked for the bill, and Julie removed my daughters order from it. He asked her to please add the ruined dinner back to our bill, as this issue was not about the money but rather about principle, horrible service and customer service, and a ruined birthday dinner. We paid the bill and left, and we will never go back. Honestly, the food the rest of us had was decent, but to be treated so poorly by the manager is just abhorrent. We are not really picky people, we understand that everyone has an "off" day, but this was bordering on abuse. All my daughter wanted was her filet mignon cooked rare/medium rare (not medium, not medium well). None of us deserved to be treated with such disrespect.More

I’d give this restaurant another chance because it’s a nice menu and there’s more I’d like to try. Today we had the French onion soup, ahi tuna, and toasted ravioli to start. All of this was very good. For our main, we had the salmon...piccata, Angel hair pomodoro and a chicken dish with veggies. The salmon and chicken were well prepared and enjoyed. The pasta was nothing special. Unfortunately the good food was a tad overshadowed by how poor the service was. Our server was slow, and unfriendly. I can count on one hand how often I leave less than a 20-22% tip. Well, today, was one of them. She just didn’t deserve what I did give.More

Dinner on Friday 9/18. Food and service was outstanding. Unfortunately there were political demonstrations on the boats docked at the pier and on the lake nearby. This completely ruined the ambiance on a lovely Friday evening. Although I know Boccaccio’s has no control over nearby...demonstrations, I will not eat there until after the election for fear of further political demonstrations that can ruin a meal. The scampi and salmon were very good and the service was also outstanding.More

Excellent atmosphere, dining by the lake. We had lunch on a Sunday. The tables were covered with umbrellas to shade you from the sun. We had the Veal Oscar & the seafood Risotto. We didn't order any appetizers knowing that the portion sizes were large...from prior experience and we were not overly hungry. The Veal Oscar had 4 medallions of veal with a very generous topping of lump crab meat with a bearnaise sauce. The seafood Risotto had 3 scallops and 3 shrimp with a 3 inch square of chilean sea bass. The food overall tasted pretty good. Excellent value. The entree's were $23 & $24. We had no room for dessert. After lunch you can stroll along the lake.More

What an AMAZING restaurant ! I can't believe we lived in the valley for more than 10 years, and never came to dine here! We came here on Friday for dinner, cause we were looking for restaurant with outdoor sitting. The location is beautiful! You...are sitting outside, with a beautiful view of the lake. The outdoor sitting is big. The food was delicious , and the customer service was excellent. We really enjoyed every minute over there. We are already planning to come back in 2 weeks. Do not miss this gem, and try to arrive before sunset, it is stunning.More

I'm not really sure how to rate them, but must report. The food and service were excellent, as usual. The big concern was lack of control over people walking thru the patio and large groups that were not wearing masks. There were 4 large groups...that were not families living together, yet the alcohol was flowing and the voices got louder as the evening progressed; it was more like a bar scene than what we normally experience. We will not be back during the covid crisis.More

As aforementioned attire - casual leaning toward elegant. This is an upscale restaurant with good food, ambiance and service, therefore dress code should reflect such.
