Not good. Sand dabs had no flavor and the texture was off. Waitress was not attentive. Won't be back. $111.00 down the drain.

We arrived for a stay at the nearby Residence Inn road-weary and hungry. The Lure Fish House looked like a great place to get a nice meal. It had an inviting appearance and was busy. So busy that we had to wait 40 minutes to...be seated, understandable on night with crowds. After we were seated we waited 12 minutes for our server to appear to inquire about drinks. Her first words were "we're sorry, but we are out of bread." Apparently a basket of bread is usually delivered. We said, OK, and asked for water and a lemonade, and since we had studied the menu while waiting for our table, we ordered our entrees, Shrimp Brochette ($25) with pineapple cole slaw and parmesan potato as sides and Rockfish Veracruz, which came with beans rice and avocado, and she disappeared. Since we had given my phone number to be notified when our table was ready, 15 minutes after being seated I got a text asking if everything was going OK. I responded "no" to the text, because of the long wait. In a couple of minutes a manager appeared, and inquired about my response. I started to explain my dissatisfaction at the long wait for drinks, and being told that there was no bread basket. Just then the server returned to with two glasses of water, saying that they were out of lemonade. I pointed this additional negative experience to the manager. She said sorry and that she would try to expedite our entrees and retreated. A few minutes later, a server brought our entrees. We were very hungry by now, but not so much as to forgive what was presented to us. My wife's meal was total disaster: the shrimp were slightly overcooked and therefore chewy, arrived lukewarm, not hot, and were tasteless. The cabbage of the coleslaw was tough, like it had been allowed to dry out, and the pineapple flavoring was obviously from a can, not fresh, and had a tinny taste, like it sat in the can too long. The potato cake was simply a patty of refried mashed potatoes, burned on the bottom. I have to say the my rockfish was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked, served hot. The beans and rice that came with it were unremarkable. In the meantime, we noticed that the recently arrived guests across the aisle were presented a bread basket soon after being seated. The server said that that the manager wanted to give us a free desert because there was no bread basket and no lemonade. After finishing our meal, we ordered the blueberry cobbler, which was tasty. We signaled that we were ready for the check. When the check arrived it included $4.50 for the lemonade $9 for desert! I protested to the server and she returned with another check with those charges reversed. We were highly disappointed with the meal and management. The server herself did the best she could. The place looked promising, but it did no deliver a quality dining experience for us.More

We just ate at Lure and the food today was amazing. Drop by as soon as you can and order the Veracruz Platter featuring a very tasty Rockfish with Black beans, guacamole, salsa, corn tortillas, lime rice, and avocado. If you like Salmon, you will...love the Salmon. Add a great Cesar Salad with high end anchovies and a side of Sweet Potato Fries, and you will walk out with a big smile on your face. Dawson provided amazing service and Lure should be proud to have him as part of their team.More

We usually eat off the appetizer menu. The grilled oysters are my favorite, fabulous & order them every time. The sea bass skewers & salt spring mussels are also very, very good. You’ll definitely want more bread for the mussel broth which has chorizo, yum!!...The crab cakes could be better & need a recipe revamp. If they made a signature, fresh crab cake - it could be a home run. The cioppino is also good. Nice wines by the glass & would add a few more white varietal options by the glass - Vouvray, Rousanne & Albariño. If they’d indulge me. 😃 It’s an excellent restaurant with great service & plan to revisit often!More

This is one of our favorite places to visit. Unfortunately they don't take reservations unless you have a large group so the wait can be very long, like last night. Luckily we found a table in the bar area, which is open seating. We met...some friends there for dinner and really enjoyed the food once again. My wife and I spit the lobster spinach dip (delicious) and she had the house ceviche and I had my usual lobster ravioli, both were very good. The service unfortunately was very slow - our server was not that attentive and friendly. The food keeps us coming back...More

We went here for lunch at about 1pm and the resturant was crowded. There was a twenty minute wait before we were seated in the bar area as the first table that was available. We ordered The calamari appetizer, Grilled sesame seed crusted Ahi and...Swordfish. The food was cooked properly in that the Ahi was seared correctly and the Swordfish was not over cooked. There is an ample variety of Beers on tap and the Sourdough bread came piping hot. The down side issues are these; Hard Floors makes the resturant extremely noisy, so why the insist on playing canned music on top of the loud ambient noise makes the whole experience difficult to carry on a conversation and forget having a romantic dinner. The service was extremely slow. I know that Covid-19 has made finding qualified employees difficult and near impossible for some. The long wait and loud noise did not make the experience great. Maybe try sitting outdoors might be the solution for the noise issue. Many restaurants have taken to expanding their dining areas into the parking lot under a canopy. Just a thought.More

Stopped here on our way back home from a roa trip. Conveninet just off the freeway, beautiful decor. Seated in the bar area. Wife had fish and chips which were excellent. Alaskan cod dipped in a tempura flour batter made with vodka and beer. Very...light and crisp, excellent. Lots of fries also. I had a shrimp avocado salad that came with blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, corn, garbanzo beans. Very generous portion. Receipt does not have the name of our server but she did a wonderful job attending to our order and was bery knowledgeable.More

When my husband checked in, he told the hostess that I was handicapped. After a 35 minute wait, we were taken to a very high, tight corner booth that was not accessible by me. She told us to wait, but when she didn't return, a...couple at a table across the room offered to switch with us. Then, we didn't see a waiter for about 10 more minutes. We had now been at the restaurant for about 50 minutes. When our entrees arrived, my husband's cioppino was bland and my lobster tail and butter were cold. Since no one was available or came to check on the meal, I ate it. This was our first dinner in a restaurant since the pandemic began and it was a very disappointing experience. The only positive was the amazing kindness of the couple who switched tables with us.More

Lure never disappoints. The fish is always fresh and beautifully prepared and served. Even with COVID restrictions, outdoor dining is very pleasant and service is excellent. All the employees are well-trained and keep the restaurant well sanitized. Two favorites to try are the sand dabs...and the ahi tuna. Simply delicious!!!More

Our daughter and her family always go here and they are always raving about this place. We finally got to experience it for ourselves. Ambiance was beautiful nothing like I had expected. They have done a great job creating out door seating in their parking...lot. Food was really good. The salmon salad was light and tasty. The almond filet was delicious and the grapefruit martini was excellent. All staff wore mask and we felt safe the whole time. I would definitely be going back.More
