Before you walk in close your eyes, order your favorite dish, let the flavor wash over your pallet and then open your eyes. You won’t believe it. Now you see what is really a take out joint with a bunch of battered tables instead of the high end restaurant you would have expected from the food. Get the MoPo tofu and you will be transported to chinatown in SF or NYC. Enjoy!!

Really good food and not too
expensive. I really recommend this place. The food is a authentic Chinese food the people are really nice, and the wait is not to long. The customer service is great, and it is a very generous serving of food.

My wife and I started out ordering one special each, but it's almost too much food. The owner suggested to us that we split one special and add a side if we're hungry. We almost always take food home.

My brother-in-law celebrated a family reunion at Peace Cuisine. While it is located in West Sacramento and mostly caters to the palates of American's, but if you give them 2 or 3 days notice, you can order things that are off the menu.
Being Chinese, I have not been able to find much Chinese food cooked the way I had it as a child. This banquet had many dishes that were reminiscent of that. On top of the great dishes, all of the ingredients were very fresh (fish that were flaky and had absolutely no fishy smell).
On top of the great food, the service was exceptional. Michael is not always there, but he says that he always helps out with Banquets. Michael has 40 years of experience in the restaurant business and really knows how to treat the patrons. He jokes as he serves the food as well as bus the table. When food and great service are combined, you come up with a great dining experience.

Where do you start when you enter a hole in the wall. The difference between this Chinese restaurant then others? This one has. 4 Star chef. They barely speak English. We were celebrating a birthday and the chef sent out the cheese wantons. Hi portions are large. We over ordered and will have plenty of left overs. Our dinner was Fried pepper calamari honey walnut prawns, general tso chicken, House special fried rice, Lettuce wraps, long beans, Peking pork. It would be difficult for us to decide which was our favorite dish. I can’t wait to go back and try the fried chicken. You must call into days ahead of time for them to begin the preparation. The staff is very gracious and service was excellent. I do not live in Sacremento anymore but I will be coming back on my next visit. I am a chef and I am well-traveled and this is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had

Great place to get Chinese food. Everyone is very friendly - even the cook if you happen to see him outside - and they greet you like you are a long time customer. For the value, the quality and taste is good. The portions are always big - I can never finish and always have left overs. The decor is tasteful and clean. I always enjoy trying new items on the menu and sometimes off menu.

The food here has been outstanding the 3 or so times I have been. I went on Monday evening with a friend and we shared the Orange Chicken dinner combo with chow mien. I asked the owner/waiter for an extra bowl of the hot and sour soup and wanted to pay extra, but he insisted on GIVING US that second bowl of the WONDERFUL soup. We feasted on the single platter and could not even finish everything between us.
Totally YUMMY and amazing VALUE!

For value and quality it could have rated higher. It is a small, 7 or 8 table tasteful decor, located and hidden in a nondescript shopping center. I have eaten in, but take out on more occasions. For a small menu there is a very good selection. My favorite is Wor Wonton Soup, a portion large enough to serve two. It is filled with Chinese vegetables, shrimp, pork, dumplings, chicken, etc.
Friendly atmosphere.
It is not haut cuisine as you could find in New York or San Francisco Chinatown, but for West Sacramento it is a good choice.

I came to Peace because it had pretty good reviews. However, you have to be very careful in how you order because they are used to cooking in a not-too-healthy manner (cheeses, soy sauce, creamed cheese), unless you are very specific on your order. All that said, the locals love the place.

I'll start off by saying I really like this place's food!! But----and that's a big one in our house - my wife doesn't care for it at all!! Her comments say it's 'too hot' - and I agree, it's spicy Chinese food - but it's great flavors are what make me come back!! Everything here is cooked to order - and the extensive menu has a lot to offer! The owner is the waiter, most of the time - and is always interested in your comments about the food. Small site - almost intimate. Good and fast service - and I( already said how I like the food! If you don't see something on the menu you like, you can ask about ordering it ahead of time next trip!! I loike this place a lot!

Went once before with a girlfriend after the write up in the local paper... (shame on me for not doing a 1st review) but we went with our husbands for dinner before the RiverCats Baseball game and we had very good food & service both times. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken (spicy) and it was a huge serving. The chow mien & fried rice weren't very exciting but the Kung Pao was excellent. I could certainly do without a cream cheese wonton - I don't like them from anywhere-as I make my own & fill them with with a pork & veggies. Everyone else enjoyed their meals but I didn't pay attention to what they ordered & we had plenty of leftovers from the generous servings. Planning to take a new group of girlfriends this next week to introduce them - I'll follow-up with comments. DK

I don't eat much in this town, but we tried this place a couple times. I like that if is easy to get to and plenty of parking. I like the the General chicken. The food seems to come out "way too fast" (kinda like Panda express) to be fresh made. I will continue to come to this place because it is so convenient.

Went here 2 evenings ago with friends for dinner after reading, at last, the Sacramento Bee review. Service was amazingly attentive and friendly, the food was absolutely wonderful to all 4 of us. Two of my friends shared the shrimp dinner and there was food left after they were too full to eat any more. I had the Mongolian Beef dinner and brought home enough for 2 more meals and the 4th person had the Spicy Eggplant dinner and also brought home enough for 2 more meals. We started with an appetizer order of Pot Stickers, and they were meaty, chewy and very tasty. The prices are MOST reasonable, especially for such LARGE servings. We are all planning on being "regulars" in the future. The place is small and NOT visually attractive, but clean and exceedingly well-managed.
