While visiting LA we wanted to stop by the notorious eateries we had watched on food network on so many occasions. We went to Pink's on a Sunday afternoon arriving around 2pm. Total wait time was 1 hour and 15 minutes, but the crowd was lively and traded stories about how far they've come.
It's best to have a menu while waiting in line, there are no short of hot dog and polish styles and it really can be a bit overwhelming with all the choices. Ultimately I got the classic chilli dog. The place is definitely a tourist trap, but being from orlando we knew that going in.
Food is okay and something I think everyone should experience once, prices are reasonable, but I don't believe I would wait in line again for this famous dog. We had better from a street vendor on Hollywood Blvd, but it was a good experience that we won't forget.

If in the neighborhood, you got to eat here. There is usually a line, but it moves fast. Anything you can think of putting on a hot dog, they can do. We usually get the Mullholland Dr. Dog, it only takes 1 to fill you up with the fries and a drink, for they are 9 inch hot dogs. I can see why they have been in business since 1939 in this spot.

Luckily for me and my wife were were here for the re-opening of Pink’s after being closed for 4 months. The bad news was, so were a lot of other people. We waited in line for over 1 hour. It’s all about the Hot Dogs they offer but there are also Burgers and plenty of sides to go along with your order. Once you place your order, you can choose to eat outdoors on their patio tables with Umbrella’s for shade, or simply use the take-out service. We found the pricing to be fair and the meal very good. It’s simple enough a Hot Dog, done your way, and a side, i.e., Fries, Onion Rings, etc. They are very diligent about cleaning and following all the necessary guidelines for Covid 19. I highly recommend Pink’s. I hope you find this review helpful in making your next dining plans.

I seriously don't get it; why anybody would wait in line for such a mediocre hotdog it is beyond me! That said, I'm from Chicago, so my hotdog expectations are considerably high. The bun is totally boring and the hotdog itself was pretty plain as well and I needed to immediately return for more toppings. The kicker is that you have to wait in a serious line, at any time of day, to be totally underwhelmed in the end. To each his own, I guess.

I was giving my friend a tour of L.A. and I had to bring him here. We came on Friday afternoon Oct. 16th, 2020 before taking him to Hollywood. Surprisingly, no long line. More surprisingly, outside patio dining in the rear, which was very nice (with one employee keeping the socially distanced tables clean and disinfectant was available). I had my personal favorite, Pink’s world-famous Chili-Cheese Dog (All Beef extended Dog with just chili and sliced American cheese) and for the first time, I tried their Pink’s Spicy Polish Sausage with mustard only (It Was HOT!!!) No Line, and No Issues. FIVE CLAWS UP!!! Thanks for reading my review of Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs on La Brea and Melrose. Peace - Joe G. Bear

This long standing slice of Hollywood is definitely worth the wait you'll more than likely encounter, however the service is of quality and pace, so don't fret. They have a massive menu of various American food comforts including fries, burgers and of course hot dogs.
There are pictures upon pictures of the history of Pinks as well as of all the celebrities who've enjoyed this gourmet spot.
One of the best things about Pinks is you can add or subtract whatever they have to your food like guac on your fries or chips, extra onions, hold the cheese and so on. The beyond hot dog aka Patt Morrison is my go to here though you can do a beyond hot dog or regular however you like.
They have a large outdoor patio area in back with tons of seating and a few parking spaces as well.
There are restrooms for customers as well.
You order inside and recieve your food in the order it's placed, which is usually pretty prompt. They have bottle beverages for purchase including soda, water, lemonade and more.
Standard condiments can be placed in container like ketchup and mustard at a station just next to the counter as well as utensils and salt or pepper packets.
Despise always being busy there are usually plenty of places to sit or places to park in the lot or close by on the street.
Overall wonderful service and experience.

We heard all of the hype about Pinks so as a family of 5 with 3 children under 15 we headed to Pinks in anticipation of something amazing..... after waiting an hour in a line to get served while our kids grew more and more bored we finally had our food.
We were expecting great things but instead we were highly disappointed.
Maybe we missed something but if this is the best hot dogs in LA I feel sorry for Los Angelians.
We qued for many attractions while in LA but this is the only Que not worth waiting in.
The myth and the legend of Pinks Hot Dogs is just that.... "a myth and a legend".

If you want them to do your catering, forget about it, Aleen the person “in charge” of catering never answers the phone because she doesn’t answer from numbers that she doesn’t know? I mean, seriously? And when you finally get a hold of her, she gives you attitude? This is unbelievable, we were excited to hire you for catering our event but thanks to her zero customer service skills, we’ll pass. Your food is good tho! We’ll still visit you but we’ll just avoid dealing with her.

Having grown up in Allentown,Pa home of Yocco’s hot dogs I have a huge love for chili dogs. So when visiting LA Pink’s was a must do for me. It’s probably one of the most hyped hot dog places in the country so I was excited to try one.
So disappointing. After waiting on hour I got a mostly tasteless dog with very greasy chili. It had nice snap and the place is very cool with lots of photos of celebrities but just very underwhelming.
I am glad we did it but that was a once and done for me.

This establishment has been around since 1939 but this was our first visit. We were at the one on City Walk at Universal Studios, Hollywood. We had a Chicago Dog which is a sausage and a Bacon Chili Dog which had that wonderful crunch in every bite...like hot dogs used to be!! The fries and onion rings were very good and not greasy. It was customer service with a smile and patience in answering our ‘hot dog queries.’ We will be back before we leave here! Great food, great prices and portions!

We came here for a quick dinner one night while in LA. the hotdogs were awesome. If you cannot find a hotdog you like here you're not trying hard enough.
The hotdogs I would have to say are some of the best tasting hotdogs I have ever eaten. They are large and messy. But most importantly DELICIOUS!!

Pink's is an LA landmark. Historic hot dog stand serving great classic hot dogs and sausages with a huge variety of toppings. Expect a line but it moves quickly... I visited on Sunday evening and it was a 20 minute wait but well worth it.

Pinks has delicious hotdogs packed with flavor, fun atmosphere, and great customer service. Yes, you will wait in line, but it’s all part of the experience. You will spill food all over you, but if it isn’t messy, it’s probably not very yummy. Get the pink lemonade.

Hot dogs always test better when you stand in line for 30 to 45 minutes smelling them being cooked and reading about the history of an LA landmark. Such was our experience as first-timers to Pink's. The line wrapped around the building, which helped us in choosing our hot dogs from their extensive list of choices. I opted for the Philly Cheesesteak dog, which was very good. I give it 4 starts because they serve those orange french fries, which are simply awful in my opinion. Next time, I'll bring a bag of chips or swing by McDonald's for their fries.

I've been coming here for decades and the food is good but not great. On this evening visit I ordered the chili cheese dog and requested pickles added. The hot dogs have a snap to them and the chili and ingredients are pretty good. It's a good place to come by when you want a quick meal and it's popular among locals and tourists.
