If you are a tourist and have never tried an American diner this is the place to go. For me they go a little overboard with all the touristy things, but you can sit at the bar or in the booths. Coffee is filled up often and the breakfast i had was true American, so I got what I wanted.... More

we got to Hollywood early to avoid the crowds and walked around until 10am, at this time we went to get breakfast. It was fast and good. My kids had the chocolate lovers pancakes which were great and we had egg dishes ourselves

It was nice! Glad that it stays open late and the service was good! Our waitress gave us some history on the diner which was nice to know trivia!

What,s not to like if you are a diner fan. The sliders were delicious. Great service not crowded mid afternoon. 2 pm on a Friday. Cool history and decor ... Definitely returning on the next trip to the LA area. I will call this cheap eats ( for the area )... parking is valet only .. no specific rate but... More

Not exactly the place were you would go to impress your partner or friends. Food is ok but not great, and the venue pretty dirty. Potentially could be a star, lot of room for improvement .

You simply cannot miss it. An American Graffiti style diner with great service and milkshake directly from an episode of happy days. You might expect Fonzie to come out from the toilet. burgers are very well done and they are so kind and fast inservienti you that it is worth to go also fo all the smiles you get. Finally,... More

This diner caters for every taste. The food is reasonably priced (considering its location) and the service is fast and efficient. Definitely a place not to miss.

Growing up in New York, my father took us to the local diner to eat out. Here in West Hollywood, Mel's diner is our local diner. It's the only place around where I can get a BLT on white toast with mayonnaise and pickles. They also have a great diner breakfast. You have to make sure they give you white... More

Mel's is a must for an authentic American Diner experience. It is just like a scene from Grease in the 1970's. It has juke box in every booth, the food is burgers, southern fried chicken, ribs, thickshakes and all served with fries & ketchup. Really fun experience, the food is good and very generous. Excellent service, thoroughly recommend.

Thank Jacintamatt
