The atmosphere is half the experience. It's like a Paris Bistro spilling out onto the street..white paper covering tables set with off white table cloths, small sparkling candles. Inside wall paper depicting French architectural scenes make a perfect backdrop for any event, celebration or just a dinner with friends. The food is excellent and tasty...service was OK but not overly... More

I mean the scene is an older crowd but super busy and friendly. I had the madras curry and it was so bad. I mean the chicken was flavored well but it was a Mexican curry and not Indian. It was so bad I giggled. Sorry. Buddy had the risotto. Too much cheese. Anyhow we still had a good time... More

My friend and I have Sunday lunch were three or four time a month. The service is always excellent and the food is very good, with nice sized portions. Chris the waiter always takes good care on us and is friendly and attentive. The location at Robertson and Santa Monica is a very good area and if you sit on... More

My brother-in-law and his partner suggested Cafe D'Etoile for breakfast / brunch when we visited West Hollywood last weekend. The bloody mary's hit the spot / whetted our appetites, and fresh breads served before our meals were perfect - and warm! I ordered the quiche special, which was served with a green salad and four - five pieces of fresh... More

My husband and I came here on our last night in LA. The service was excellent. Something that did surprise us was the food portions as it is not really clear by looking at the menu that they are tapas size. For the price, we did not think this was great value but the food was tasty. The atmosphere is... More

First time in over 10 years visiting this local West Hollywood restaurant. Food still very good with welcoming owner and servers. Enjoy the character of this small restaurant. Outside dining is fun for people watching. Very good price point. More of a restaurant for adults as the bar does take up quite a bit of interior space.

We were lucky enough to get out an outside table to watch the world go by - and boy do you see the world! Friendly staff and excellent service. The food was well presented. We choose the club sandwiches, which made an excellent and good value evening meal. Very large portions. Drinks came within a snap; no fault with the... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
