I have been to Tesse a few times. I love the food - a take on classic yet modern french cuisine that has flavors and textures that I've thought I could only have in Europe. The bread is something that can not be missed, and...More
In order for a restaurant to get five stars, it must be very unique and I believe that is what Tesse is. Tesse is a neighborhood gem. It is an exceptional restaurant with an exceptional menu and food and a great wine selection. It has...More
Super pleasantly surprised!
I wasn’t expecting much because it looked like those bougie restaurants on Sunset that don’t need to try so hard because they’re on prime real estate. The complete opposite actually.
I was greeted warmly by the hostess, sat at the bar for...More
It was my wife’s birthday, so the pastry chef sent out an assortment of desserts. They were absolutely fantastic. the Soufflé is phenomenal. The unwrapped Snickers was beyond good. The food is good here, but go for the desserts as well.
The atmosphere is great. All serving staff were very helpful and friendly. Starters were nice. Unsure about the main courses. For eg. The cod fish was kind of complicated with black glutinuous rice and sweet sauce (I think it is actually an Asian dessert). Overall...More
Tesse has quickly become one of our favorite new local restaurants in the super active creative dining scene in West Hollywood. The space itself is beautiful, contemporary and chic and the food and beverage program follows suit. Their menu is pretty broad starting with a...More
While the dishes have too many ingredients and are too complicated, the chef is able to bring it off. Did the artichoke salad need anchovies? No, but it was still excellent. A fine crab salad overwhelmed by potato puree was the only poor dish. Sardines...More
Nice ambiance with great service. Only strange thing was that the tip was included yet at the end they suggested we could tip more.
Drinks were top notch. Octopus was outstanding as was the bone marrow dish.
Pasta was outstanding, but dessert was just ok....More
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of
wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
